When I was a kid I had a keyboard piano where the demo song was Just the Way You Are, but I never knew the actual song, so hearing the actual song always makes me laugh since I heard that little demo version so many times as a kid. I think I recognized Only the Good Die Young a bit, but didn't know the rest, so as a first listen, being outside of my circle, it was alright.

I used to hear paper planes a lot on the alt stations, somehow it was a crossover, which I never really understood, because I don't like stuff like this, so didn't care for the rest of the album either.

I love the foos but I actually only have a few of their albums so I this one I only knew the singles, but ya the rest was great also. It’s cool that he did this all solo before there was actually a full band. More raw sound for sure. Some of the screamy isn’t for me as much but I’ll let it slide.

3 of the songs I knew from hearing on classic rock radio way too many times. I struggle with bluesy stuff, I just don’t like it. Riders on the Storm brings it up a bit though.

Never heard of this before. It was alright but the parts where he did the high vocals was a bit screechy and made me cringe a bit.

I knew some of the singles and I love One but this is the first time hearing the rest of the album and ya it's great.

Gotta go fast! So only 4 of the songs are original and the rest are covers? That's so weird to me how common that was back then. It's like do I just judge it only on those 4 songs then? I dunno. Their interpretation is how they did it back then so ya pretty good.

Never heard of this before. Southern indie rock? I like the indie rock side but not the southern rock side.

Hadn't heard this before except knowing Bowie's version of China Girl. Overall it was alright for me, the songs were fine but nothing really jumped out at me.

This one is a bit hard for me, I liked some of it, but the more country sounding ones aren't for me.

The name seems familiar but not sure if I’ve heard anything by them before, none of this album anyway. This is like chill electronic, sounds like movie soundtrack stuff, almost a Portishead type sound sometimes, I like it.

Never heard of this before. The nuclear theme is interesting, but not the type of music I would usually listen to. Tides I enjoyed a lot though.

Never heard of this before. Reading how this influenced riot grrl and I can hear that. Generally I really don’t like saxophone in songs but it’s actually not bad here, more subdued I guess? Or maybe just as a part of punk as an instrument in the mix instead of a big sax solo.
