The beats themselves were pretty good, but like pretty much all of these albums it got tedious

I was originally hooked. I liked the guitar tone and the drums and the angry overall sound it created. But overtime it got repetitive, especially with the same drum loops playing over in each song. It began to feel as if they were making loud, angry music just to be loud and angry with very little thought put into it.

If you want something like this go listen to Slayer or something man they do it so much better

There's definitely something there somewhere, but the lack of variation in pace made it very monotonous and a drag to get through. Low 2.

If you don't take it seriously, this is phenomenal. Biggie is phenomenal. What's there to be said that hasn't been already?

I see people complaining about the skits however personally they aren't nearly as jarring as made out to be. I'd rather not have them obviously (especially the ones where he having sex, because that was necessary for whatever reason) but they aren't as annoying as in many other hip hop albums from this time.

Top review sums it up perfectly. All sounded similar, yet I never stopped feeling pleasant while listening to it.

I looked out the window in my new uni accommodation. My anxieties went away, and I felt more optimistic. That was nice

High 4. Really, REALLY, wanted to give this a 5 but those tracks at the end knocked it down. Everything else though was phenomenal. Hard, angry, yet catchy guitar and bass, great fast paced drumming too. Vocals suited the music so well.

This was so dreary, especially compared to Document. It felt like the latter had more emotion and passion put into it.

And what's wrong with indie bands having horrendous vocalists?

Ironically, the songs on the original release are worse than the ones on later releases

I preferred this album to their other one here. Liked the guitar tone, sounded quite Nirvana-esque. High 3

Too many albums on this list are like Beet Jansch's self titled. They're pleasant on the ear, sure, but they're just so uninteresting and samey.

An important album that shows the difficulties of ghetto lifestyles whilst simultaneously being one of the smoothest, funkiest albums ever
