It's an album I would probably enjoy a lot more stoned. But I've rated all the other albums sober, so that would be unfair

It's all too slow for my liking. Criminology gave it a bit of needed energy but that's one track out of 18 - about 5 minutes out of 73. Everything else just dragged on and on because the beats held no interest in me and the basslines were equally as unenthralling. I also felt the rapping itself wasn't great. This was reinforced when during the Nas feature, which was one of the few bits of the album that actually held some interest, and was far better than anything else. The length of it didn't help either.

TLDR - mid album mad worse by being too long

What a fucking find this is holy shit. This is why I'm here. Subscribe

He blends and flows through different genres with ease, sometimes sounding like a modern Stevie Wonder, or having some ties with the likes of Elliott Smith, all whilst sounding beautifully original. His voice is phenomenal and these basslines, whilst subtle, are sexy work

This is never something that I would have ever listened to. I'm fucking glad it came up on here. Makes me wonder how much I'm missing out on.

Easily one of the best albums I've had yet, definitely the best one that I hadn't heard of before.

Rated 2/10

This could have been 100x better than it is. It's supposed to have this depressing, haunting, dark atmosphere to it, but the repetitiveness of the songs just makes this shit sound so goofy man. There's no variation in pace, no variation in the drumming, no variation in anything. Just the same 5 seconds on repeat in each song.

I don't mind what they're trying to do with the singing. It would work if the music backing him up wasn't so shite.

Take Twenty Four Hours as an example. That's an actual song. He starts singing properly, the bass lines are great, there's variation in the tempo. It's like they actually tried for that song and that song alone. If the rest of the album was like that I'd probably give it a 4 or 5. But it wasn't. Far, far from it

Black Sabbath - godfathers of heavy metal

You would have thought the first heavy metal album would need some perfecting, some changes to be made, but nah. These guys pretty much mastered it off the get go.

Riffs and solos, phenomenal. But my favourite bits of this album are the basslines, see N.I.B for the best example. Love the bluesy elements too

I've tried to think of a fault for this album but honestly I'm struggling

Best part is it's not even their best album. Not even second or third best either. Paranoid, Vol. 4, Heaven and Hell, Master of Reality, and possibly Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are all better than this, despite this being an easy 5. Just shows you how fucking insane Black Sabbath are.

It didn't pain me to listen to this one, unlike most Britpop albums, and a couple of songs I actually thought were pretty decent, such as The Rolling People.

But 75 minutes of Britpop gets to you eventually. Maybe a harsh 2, probably would be higher if it was shorter

I liked a couple of songs at the beginning of the album, but the rest were a bit daft and it got old quickly

Sidenote: he is very, very fine. Got that creepy serial killer style smile, as if when I meet him he will dismember me and eat my organs. But like in a kinky way. And I might enjoy it. Maybe even let him do it
