First of all, MJ was not a great dude, worthy of cancellation by today's standards. Why am I listening to this album but not the Kanye West albums? Because Michael is dead, he isn't continuing to hurt others the way that Kanye's hate speech does.

The first song is an absolute banger, but the next three are totally forgettable. I went into this thinking, okay time to hear why he was the king of pop. I think his showman ship and many huge pop hits is the explanation of why. Off the Wall was decent, but yeah... this album is carried by the hit song that opens it.

Here Comes Your Man is the first real banger from the album, but Mr. Grieves goes to an interesting sound that leads well into the drums at the beginning of La La Love You. Hey is the next hit song

Most of the album has such a silly and whimsical sound to it. Seven and Seven Is felt like a jarring change of sound. Then the second half of the album is just Revelation, which in my opinion is the best track, it's a good one to just leave on.

It's a great rap album, the first song that really stood out to me was It Ain't Easy. I really dig the beat on Old School, it bounces and flows really well. Me Against The World is incredible too, I paid more attention to it during the second listen through.

Incredible music composition. Is this proto-yacht rock? Idk but it's so good. Roundabout's bass line is killer and catchy as hell. South Side of the Sky and Long Distance Runaround feel like Rush before Rush was a thing.

Kind of a neat, mostly instrumental album. It's a background music kind of album.

One of the best R&B albums of all time. Thinkin Bout You, Sweet Life, Super Rich Kids, Lost are all such bangers. This is handily a contemporary five-star album. I even think Monks is a good song.

Highway Star and Smoke on the Water are both iconic songs. But the album as a whole stands up decently well. I would say that these hits carry it above the average though.

Two iconic hits with Gin and Juice and Who Am I (What's My Name)? but the most surprising bop was Gz and Hustlas. I hadn't ever heard that track before and it was so catchy I couldn't believe I hadn't heard it before.
