First time listening to this
Great message, great sound.
Loved it and will definitely be back.

Going to mark down slightly just because ‘Sex Machine’ is the weakest track and no need for it to take up a third of the album.

Songs about LOTR, theramin, lengthy drum solos, crazy stereo panning.

On the one hand it’s surprising that Led Zeppelin are as popular as they are.

On the other… they’re pretty darn good so….

TuskFleetwood Mac

Rated 8/10

Irrationally this album is capped at 4 stars in my head on the basis that it’s not Rumours.

I can’t give it any less though because I kind of loved this.

Stevie Nicks’ songs in particular were highlights.

I feel like this could be great album with a couple of changes:

-The production is horrible. I get its deliberately claustrophobic but someone deliberately shitting in your soup doesn’t make a good lunch. Really lacking any kind space or dynamics.

-The vocal delivery. Why does the sinGER put emPHASis on the weirdEST of syllABles. The lyrics are great in a sort of poetic journal sense but I’m not sure they actually scan when set to music.

If you take all the best bits of pop, electronic and hip hop and mix them up you get Gorillaz.

If you scrape up whatever shit is left you get Stereo MCs.

BerlinLou Reed

Rated 8/10

Lou Reed was just cool as fuck.
Rock Opera is possibly the worst subgenre going but he manages to make it work.

The best band of all time before they were the best band of all time.

First half has some classic early Beatles tracks. Second half is pretty weak.

Don’t mistake this 3 star rating as saying it’s average.

There’s nothing average about this.

3 stars represents utter confusion.

I don’t know what I just listened to or how I feel about it.
