The beginning was really strange, then I thought it got better, and then it became a bit boring. I don't know, a 3 because I see great potential here, maybe I'll listen to it again, but anyway, I think it's another one of those that I could have done without.

LP1FKA twigs

Rated 4/10

Repetitive and boring. I don't know why it's on this list. A 2, because it could be in any store in a shopping mall or in an elevator, nothing special about it would make me turn my head and listen carefully :-(

I gave Adele a 3, so I can't give Suzanne less than that :-(

So it's a 3 (I'm more of a Solitude Standing kind of guy :-D )

This turned out to be a great surprise: funny themes that really struck a chord with me, especially when I listened to it for the second time at home (there were too many distractions at work!).

The song "I Can't Make Your Way" was my favorite, with "The Nazz Are Blue," "Lost Woman," and "Turn into Earth" also catching my attention.

Anyway, I went and read up on it and learned that Jeff Beck was part of it and that Clapton and Page had also been there. So maybe it makes sense for it to be on this list, and I liked it more than I expected ;-)

It has Sympathy for the Devil, I would give it 5 just on that; then there's all the others. A classic album, it truly deserves to be in any list ;-)

25Adele

Rated 6/10

As other have commented and rating here, I will also say that overexposure to Adele songs worked against her! Yes, her voice is great and is a ver talented singer, but this is the kind of music I cannot stand no more . they pushed way too much this into our years

Giving a 3 for her voice but, please, I would die happily without having to listen to her again :-(

I think I might be a serious punk fan without even knowing or realizing it—these songs really made me feel something. I loved listening to this album, and I'm somewhat surprised to realize that this isn't the first punk album on this list that appeals to me and that I'd give a 5!

Because, in fact, IMHO, it doesn't deserve anything less than that ;-)

Perhaps I am biased in this review, since I had to go looking for who these guys were and why this album is here, because my first impression is: ok, it's listenable, some tracks caught my attention, but is it really an album you have to hear before you die?

Hence my 3. In practice, it's something I can and do listen to, and even enjoy, but it undoubtedly falls into the category of thousands and thousands of others like it. And that's it, tomorrow I won't remember them :-(

There is something about Talk Talk's music that transports me to another dimension: the calm I feel, the sense of well-being and communion with the universe, the way my body and spirit react to the melody, my body wanting to dance and my mind escaping to an open space free from the rules of our physical world... I don't know, revisiting this album was great and listening to it at the end of such a busy day! A solid 5 for all that.

Forgettable! Music you might hear in an elevator or a perfume shop... It was a bit difficult to get to the end and it certainly wasn't the best day to listen to this!

Anyway, I give it a 2 because, as it was forgettable, it didn't do any harm either ;-)

Good find, I thought this album was really good... And I noticed that many people refer to it as country! So, yes, surprisingly (if this fits into the country genre!), I'm enjoying some country songs, who would have thought? :-D

Yep, it was important back then, Madonna was a big gigantic star, yes, yes, I'll understand and agree with you all - but back in the day I didn't listen nor I really enjoy Madonna's work and it seems nothing has changed for me!

I could die without listening to this, I don't think it's a game changer nor anything like that :-(

So, a 3, considering its importance back then

After giving it a 2nd listening, because there was too much things distracting me while listening to it the first time - I always enjoy nice grooves and funk genre had always a strong appeal on me! - I ended giving a 4.

Probably it deserved more, as with many of my ratings here, but I missed the acid part of the listening, with that on, I would probably give it the maximum :-D

I give it a 4 because Wishing Well, Dance Little Sister, and Sign Your Name still bring back fond memories of better times (although I got tired of hearing Sign Your Name, as radio stations played it so often—and excessively!).

In fact, there are only two songs, that I can remember, that I can't listen to much anymore (even though I consider them brilliant songs that were huge hits): Lady in Red by Chris de Burgh and I Just Called (To Say I Love You) by Stevie Wonder.

But anyway, in honor of those times, as I said, I give it a 4.

A drunk English band pretending to be Irish with a Scottish musical touch... I don't know, some reviews compare them to The Pogues and others, but in no universe or dimension would that be true! Anyway, I enjoyed listening to a few tracks, so it wasn't a total waste of time. I give it a 3 because, in my opinion, there are much worse things on this list

Wow, what a wonderful surprise! I knew the song sung by Sinead O'Connor... finding out that this guy was the author left me speechless.

Overall, a fantastic album and, from now on, undoubtedly one of my favorite discoveries in this project.

And I feel like singing in the face of some colleagues, loud and clear, “Why don't you bore the shit out of somebody else?”
