This reminded me a lot of the Rocket From The Crypt album we listened to. This is fun and has good energy. I will probably revisit. Favorite songs were The Age Of Pamparius, Get It On, and Prince Of The Rodeo.

I know these blokes are on the list multiple times and all I’m gonna say is I will be outraged if Hall and Oates don’t make an appearance. This album is fine. I only knew this band from Come On Eileen. Favorites were Tell Me When My Light Turns Green, Geno, and Seven Days Too Long.
Rated 8/10
The use of instrumental swells and dynamics here is incredible. It’s just not quite consistent enough to push it to a 5/5. Four Women is an incredible song that I can’t help but hear Pusha T tell the world Drake is hiding a child over. Favorites were Four Women, What More Can I Say?, Lilac Wine, and Wild Is The Wind.
Rated 8/10
This was a pleasant surprise. I’m usually not super into organs, but this really worked for me. I can tell this definitely inspired the band Squid who I’m a fan of. Favorite songs were London Lady, Hanging Around, Peaches, (Get A) Grip [On Yourself], and Down In The Sewer.
I don’t care much for vocal jazz. This 73 minutes felt like two and a half hours. She is very talented and it is technically good, but I just get bored.
This was alright. Very country with shades of psychedelic rock thrown in to keep things interesting. Favorite songs were Christine’s Tune, My Uncle, and Hot Burrito #2.
Rated 6/10
I can definitely see how this was influential to groups like REM, but honestly I think about half of these songs would have fit well on George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass. Solid collection of songs. Favorites were The Ballad Of El Goodo, Thirteen, Try Again, and Watch The Sunrise.
Rated 8/10
Albums like this are why I enjoy doing this. Totally 80’s production featuring the absolutely massive drums with vocals that sound kinda like Cookie Monster singing German. This is awesome. Favorite songs were Leben Heibt Leben, Gebert Einer Nation, Opus Dei, and The Great Seal.
Rated 10/10
This is the best Yes album. It is not my favorite Yes album. That would be The Yes Album. The title track alone would give this five stars. The absolute euphoria of the finale. They went 3/3.
Rated 6/10
This album is so smooth it had me sliding around my apartment in my socks. The bass is NASTY. Highlights were Welcome, Ascension, …Til The Cops Come Knockin’, and Reunion.
Rated 6/10
This one was good. It makes good use of interesting instrumentation like the sitar, and it was psychedelic without going too far beyond pop songwriting. Favorites were Sunshine Superman, Bert’s Blues, Season Of The Witch, and Celeste.
Rated 4/10
This is perfectly fine drum and bass, but why does every album in this genre need to be two hours long? Favorite songs were Share The Fall, and Watching Windows.
Rated 10/10
Before listening to this my thoughts were that I liked the cover and I may or may not have heard of this band. After listening, my life may have been changed. This band has how many albums?!?!? I’m going to be busy for a while. These are more fragments than full songs, but they are all so interesting.
Rated 8/10
This album is really good. Relatively simple musicianship that works to the group’s benefit. This manages to be both gritty and dirty while maintaining some glam rock aesthetics. Favorites were Personality Crisis, Looking For A Kiss, Trash, Pills, and Jet Boy.
Rated 4/10
This gives off vibes of a computer simulation of a steel ball bouncing around inside a concrete box. Probably wouldn’t revisit again. Favorite song was Dry and Dusty.
Rated 10/10
Nearly three months ago I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and I told myself I would finally listen to this album. I finally got around to it and it is just as good as people were saying. It’s dirty, messy, funny, and it rocks hard. Something so very captivating about a song about a guy with a boner.
Rated 2/10
Paul Weller… what the fuck? This is a mess. The first half is jazzy slow rock sophistipop garbage. The second half starts off with two hip-hip songs with some truly terrible 80’s production and then becomes funk/soul?
The songs where Rod Stewart has lead vocals are significantly more interesting to me. Mostly standard blues rock fare otherwise. Favorites were Miss Judy’s Farm, Stay With Me, and Too Bad.
Rated 6/10
In contention for the most 80’s album ever. I don’t usually like this style of music, but something about Rio just works for me. The bass here is pretty good too. Favorite songs were Rio and Hungry Like The Wolf.
Rated 8/10
I am so glad this album is included on the list. Grime and UK hip-hop in general deserves its place. Probably not my favorite, but it’s still pretty good. The beats are really great. The second half here is better than the first. Favorites are Konnichiwa, Ladies Hit Squad, Numbers, Shutdown, and That’s Not Me.
