Love the way the guitar melts here. Definitely fitting of the groove subgenre. This is really good. Walk would be a sick walkout song if I was a closer coming in to make a save. Favorites are A New Level, Walk, This Love, By Demons Be Driven, and Hollow.

I need to have my music fan card revoked. I never listened to D’angelo’s music before his passing. Having this generated was a good opportunity to run back through all three of his records and they are all excellent. This is probably the weakest of them, but it speaks to his consistency that this is somehow the worst. Jazzy soulful instrumentals with incredible vocal performances. Music made of silk. Favorites were Brown Sugar, Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine, Shit, Damn, Motherfucker, and When We Get By.

This one doesn’t waste your time which I really appreciate. Fantastic album. The layered vocals and distorted guitars on top of some really solid drumming. Very relistenable too. Pretty much everything you want a rock album to be.

I think the first two thirds of this album are fantastic. They do a good job blending electronic and punk elements. The last couple songs are weaker and hold this back for me. The vocals and lyrics are great and bring the energy you would want on something like this. Favorites were Deceptacon, The The Empty, Eau D’ Bedroom Dancing, and My My Metrocard.

I’m all about respecting artists creative choices and their freedom of expression. Doesn’t mean I can’t think that changing to using his real name as his stage name isn’t a major aura loss. This album is super 80’s (complimentary). His vocal performances are consistently great and these songs are solid. Favorites were If You Let Me Stay, Dance Little Sister, Seven More Days, and Rain.

What a hootin’ and hollerin’ good time. A lot of really great songs and great playing to be found here. Everyone just sounds like they had a great time making this. Definitely something you should hear before you die. Love bluegrass.

I hated this. Even DJ Premier could not save this. 78 minutes of her incessant whining. How does she have two albums on this list and neither of them are the album with Genie In A Bottle on it?

Was Cecilia the invention of Millennial stomp clap? Simply put this is an all timer. Exceptional songwriting from front to back. Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of the finest songs ever written and I have never heard a cover do justice to the original (looking at you Jacob C******)

Very different in style from the two other albums I’ve heard from him. This is some white boy funk and oh boy is it horny as hell. The grooving instrumentals often make you glaze over how nasty these lyrics can be. I liked this album. Favorites were Move With Me, Get On Top, and Make It Right.

Lacking the more hooky songs of Moondance he absolutely skates over these jazzy instrumentals. Not better or worse than that just different. No idea what he was saying most of the time, but it was good. Favorites were Astral Weeks, Sweet Thing, and Madame George.

Would this be a spiritual successor to Wire’s Pink Flag. Mike Watt’s bass here is the standout, but the rest of the group also has their moments to shine. Just excellent from front to back. No song outstays its welcome, but none really feel cut off or too short. Just jam packed with great ideas.

This is a lot like the intersection between T Rex and The Smiths, but not quite as good as either one. Just add it to the collection of albums I wouldn’t complain about having on a CD buried in a glovebox on a road trip, but would not go out of my way to seek out.

Run Baby Run is a great song, but it’s really not a great way to start an album. Feels like something that would be halfway through. I liked this one! Drags a bit in the middle but starts and finishes strong. Favorites were Run Baby Run, Leaving Las Vegas, and All I Wanna Do.

I like how they made almost a solid album and then decided to stick an absolute stinker right at the end to sour the whole experience. Absolute wet fart of a song. I Had Too Much To Dream and Get Me To The World On Time are good songs but most of the other songs feel generic to me.

Man this dude writes some sad songs. I will always love American Pie for being a great song and inspiring me to actually listen to the lyrics and look up the history it is based on. The Grave reminds me of Billy Joel’s Goodnight Saigon. Solid album overall.

I was listening to this and a song started playing that sounded really cool. Turns out the album had finished and Spotify autoplayed The Chemical Brothers. This was meh to me. Not really my style and it just felt really long. It was thoroughly suspenseful and sounded like a film soundtrack so I will give it some credit.

Live recordings really do justice to the greatness of Motörhead. Dudes will hear this and say hell yeah. It’s me, I am dudes. They pretty much have one song, but when that one song kicks so much ass it’s hard to complain.

No idea what this movie could be about. The soundtrack covers a wide range of different styles that throws off whatever my best guesses are. This is not a style of music I ever find myself listening to, but I’m glad I did. This was really interesting. Not sure if I could call it good. The Title Music was probably my favorite song here.
