Rated 10/10

It’s Springsteen at his most Springsteen-esque (there are songs about cars! And factories! And the chorus of The Promised Land sounds like someone doing a Springsteen impression!), so it’s unlikely to convert a non-believer. I’m fully on board with the Boss though, so it’s five stars from me.

Rated 8/10

Pretty nice music with some sounding a little bit like Meatloaf.

Rated 6/10

I've never understood why this fuss is being made about Bruce Springsteen. His music isn't bad. But I find it a bit boring. I also don't like Bruce's voice. I wasn't particularly interested in the album. It's very easy for me to imagine a life without having heard this album. 3/5

Rated 6/10

I’m realizing the major flaw of this list is that it over represents well known artists. The fuck is this doing here?

Trying to figure out how to rationalize putting as many Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, and Elvis Costello albums as you can on here doesn’t seem like the way to go about making this list.

Anyway, I’m sure Bruce doesn’t have more than two or three 2 star albums and there’s no way this is one of them. So, here’s a 3 for it. Congratu-fucking-laciouns.

Rated 4/10

I'm just not a Springsteen fan. This feels like your parents' love jams. I haven't found a song that wasn't Philadelphia that I liked. 2*
He's extra talkey/mumbley in this one.

Rated 8/10

Solides Rock Album von Bruce mit guten Songs wie „Badlands“ und „The Promise Land“. Gerne mal wiederholen, aber kein Grniestreich.

Rated 8/10

Some really good songs on this album, I'm not entirely sure why this doesn't grab me.

Rated 6/10

A very straightforward and generally uninteresting rock/pop album of the time. At its best when Bruce is singing passionately. At its worst when the repetitive portions come in. It felt exceeding long. 2.5/5 -> 3/5

Rated 6/10

Very dramatic. There were a few songs I enjoyed, but mostly it was just ok.

Rated 6/10

Harder than I remember. Not bad and nice straight jersey rock n roll.

Rated 8/10

I've mentioned before that I'm not the biggest Springsteen fan. But I'm finding that, at least the albums chosen for this list, are pretty darn good. This isn't as good to me as Nebraska, but it's not bad at all and I'd listen to it again.

Rated 4/10

Too generic. I never found anything interesting about Bruce Springsteen. It's just too "american" for me I guess.

Rated 4/10

No es el disco que más me ha interesado de Bruce Springsteen, está Badlands y ninguna de las otras canciones me ha parecido destacable, supongo que no es para mí.

Rated 10/10

Very good album, as usual, coming from "The Boss" ;-)

Rated 4/10

Am I done with him yet? Am I done? What is this now, like 5 albums...? They're all shit. All of them. I do understand why people like him. I'm sure they can tune into his dad-rock, gentle fist-pump slice of Americana. For me, it makes my whole body slump in boredom. I seriously don't like his voice. It sounds like he's smoked way, waaaay too much weed and he's trying to drag himself off the floor and sing at the same time. The music, everything, it's just mediocre across the board. The most consistently 2/5 artist of all time.

Rated 6/10

Good album not hos best

Rated 6/10

Sometimes I just wish that Bruce would not try to sing, and what's with the crappy guitar solo on "Prove It All Night"?

Though the album isn't bad, it isn't something I find sufficiently pleasing to my tender ears for repeat consumption... 2 1/2 stars ***

Rated 8/10

I enjoyed this one. A very nostalgic feel to it

Love the fact you can hear different instruments throughout. The piano and the sax parts especially

Each artist has their formula for success, but Bruce’s is so depressing. Hometown, work, car, girl, repeat.

And on this album has to be the worlds slowest song about a car race.
