Rated 8/10
Not my favorite album by them. Not my favorite band, it's quite far from it. I was never a big fan of Metallica, but I can respect them enough to give this album a 5. But yeah, it is a really good album.
Rated 10/10
Just an awesome thrash album, with enough variety to keep things interesting. Could listen to it over and over.
Rated 8/10
Classic album for sure, but I just don't like Metallica all that much. And it's mostly Lars' playing. He's just not the drummer they need, and not as good as he thinks he is. It's frustrating.
Rated 6/10
En tiedä mikä siinä on, mut nää kasarimetallin klassikot on musta yllättävän tylsän kuuloisia nykyään. Ei siinä, taitavaa musiikkiahan tämä on ja kolmonen on helppo antaa.
Rated 8/10
A sassy little album that’ll sneak up and slap you on the ass when you’re not looking.
Rated 10/10
Everything a thrash metal album should be. I think I prefer Ride The Lightning, but this is still incredible.
Rated 8/10
This is one of the greatest albums of all time. In high school, Metallica was probably my favorite band. It's still incredible.
Rated 10/10
Probably their best work, 8 tracks over 55 minutes. Thrash with healthy nods to a more mainstream metal.
Rated 10/10
Favorite songs: Master of Puppets, Battery, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, Orion, "Damage, Inc."
Least favorite songs: if forced to pick, The Thing That Should Not Be

I know people love Metallica, but I just don't get it. Musically competent, and I'm sure this is great I'd it's your kind of thing, but it's not for me.
Rated 8/10
I love the sound of the the album, and Metallica in general. Muscular, intense, massive... I love the speed metal and the compositions that aren't afraid to extend into classical territory. A lot to love. Sometimes the dismal unrelenting nature of it all is a bit much. There's no escape, no place to rest. Toward the end we have the song "Orion," but even this is a funeral dirge. Everything is a moral proselytizing - and whether or not you agree with their point of view (which I do in fact) - the dismal intensity remains.
Technically amazing. A heavy music fan's dream. Super tight, a bludgeoning of everything that's wrong in the world. All anger. In fact this is one of the most musically accurate representations of that emotion I've ever heard. Really intense.

Yeah, I like it. Sorry, haters.

MASTER
Rated 6/10
This had more ballads than I remember, probably the weakest of their big three albums (lightning, puppets, justice). Still a solid album with one of the best title tracks in all of rock music.
Rated 6/10
This is the best of Metallica in my opinion, but it just never grabs me. The singing feels forced/fake. Also, the shortest song on this album is 5:12, with three clocking in over 8:00. Every time I've listened to this album, it seems like editing all of them down to around 3:00 each would have kept this thing moving and more exciting throughout.
Rated 8/10
I don't think this comes as a surprise to anyone but i really like Master Of Puppets. The album always did have that thrash metal sound to it which i enjoyed even if it did start to get a little repetitive due to the lack of change throughout. While i love the fast, heavy sounds of this album, i mostly enjoyed the more technical and melodic parts of these songs which can really show what these musicians are really capable of. Despite it's somewhat repetitive nature, i still didn't find myself getting all too tired of it. I still like ...And Justice For All more but i still think this one is a great album.
Best Song: Damage, Inc.
Worst Song: Orion
Rated 10/10
their best album, second only to …And Justice for All
Rated 8/10
Great metal album. Orion is a masterpiece.
Rated 8/10
Absolutely filled with bangers, except the last few songs. Big 4
Rated 6/10
Can you appreciate the craft without appreciating the music? That’s how I feel about Metallica. Wouldn’t listen to this again, but can understand why it is well regarded.
