Morrissey is and always has been a tool … but I like it 👍
Rated 6/10
A gorgeously produced record with Morrissey’s vocals acting a centrepiece throughout. It's very consistent with no outliers or energy dips, very listenable. The charm Morrissey brings to The Smiths records, which is missing from some of his solo work, is present here. He seems more self aware, gentler and compassionate, particularly on Hold Onto Your Friends and The More You Ignore Me.
I’m not sure this is my favourite Morrissey solo album, though I think it’s the most sonically consistent and the most similar to The Smiths. Speedway is a particularly strong closer - I love the LOUD DRUMS.
The Smiths' records are just hit after hit, and this isn’t that but it’s a pleasant way to spend 40 minutes, Morrissey sings beautifully throughout.

Smooth sonorous and beautiful. As always motive as hell.

Jedinica iz principa. // Bila bi jedinica logično.

Ugh
Slightly better than his other album I listened to - I'll give him that
Can't stand his voice to be honest. And the whiny ass lyrics. No thanks

Meh. Not quite as good as The Smiths.
Rated 6/10
He has a very distinctive sound. It is not my preferred sound, but it isn't awful. Another album I would never seek out, but also not rush to to switch if it happened to come on.
Rated 6/10
I can't listen to Morrissey without thinking of The Smiths. The voice is so distinctive that there's no escape. And whilst the melodies and sound aren't as good as The Smiths, the album is pleasant and obviously bears more than a passing resemblence. Nothing standout. Nothing excrutiating.
Rated 4/10
The Good: We are going on a road trip, in a Vauxhall!
The Bad: I am more of an Opel kind of guy…
The Ugly: the flat tire we got 3 minutes in…
Somewhere there is a parallel universe in which I appreciate Morrissey, just haven’t found that universe.
So, I need to be grateful that this is the 4th album that includes his vocal shenanigans for me to not enjoy…
2* because I am gangster like that...
Rated 8/10
Some really good bits, some brave decisions. The 2nd half is stronger than the 1st.
It's not as good as any Smiths album, but not much is.
The sound effects and clarinet are pleasant surprises.
Rated 6/10
Tried my very best to separate the art from the artist, as about all I know about Morrissey is that he is an absolutely insufferable human being. So all that aside, the music is...alright.
Rated 10/10
Exzellentes Album mit einer schlüssigen Attitüde im Smiths Stil. Tolle Songs sind „Now my hart is Full“, „The more you ignorieren …“, „Why don‘t You find out yourself“ und „ Speedway“. Das Album kombiniert die ruhige Stimme von Morrisey mit guten Elektro und Bass Sounds. 😊👍
Rated 4/10
I'm not sure we need 3 Morrissey albums on the 1001 list. I didn't hate it, but it didn't entice me much either. 2.5
Rated 6/10
I was really dreading this one. Not a fan of Morrissey and the early 90's were pretty annoying generally for British alternative. But not as bad as I thought? Still rather dull but I was expecting the worst. I wouldn't turn this off. But definitely wouldn't seek it out. Better than Neil Young that I listened to yesterday.
Rated 8/10
3,5 ster.
Rated 4/10
He did the same thing as he did with The Smiths. So nothing that special.
Rated 6/10
Surprisingly good
Rated 6/10
Decent album. I enjoyed it. Nothing special, just generally nice.
Rated 6/10
The annoying thing about Morrissey is that as his music got better, he turned into a worse human being. Pretty sure there was some kind of demonic pact involved here.
Rated 2/10
Still no.
