I'm pretty sure my parents had this on vinyl, and I've most likely heard this entire thing before, though it's been a long time since then.
I should probably listen to this more often.

Weirdly enough the only song that stood out to me enough to check was Pre-Road Downs. Idk what it was, maybe a change in the sound from the previous tracks. All-in-all, I still really like classic rock stuff like this, but boy is it hard for it to stand out to me.

Ok

Fun fact: CSN also stands for College of Southern Nevada 👍
Rated 6/10
nicely executed but id rather be listening to the beatles or simon and garfunkel

I’ve always enjoyed Crosby, Stills & Nash — their music is easy-listening folk with beautiful harmonies and thoughtful lyrics. That said, I’ve always preferred their later work with the addition of Neil Young, which adds a bit more edge and depth.
This debut album, though, is solid from start to finish. It might not have one standout track that completely blows you away, but every song is strong and well-crafted. It’s a smooth, cohesive listen that captures the late ’60s folk-rock sound perfectly.
Favourite track: “49 Bye-Byes” — brilliant songwriting and vocals.
Least favourite track: I genuinely enjoyed every song on the album.
Album artwork: A fairly standard cover, but it suits the relaxed tone of the record.

Ahhh, 60s rock, my bane on this challenge.
It's a pretty chill listen, I didn't hate it, but as usual even the best of this era is just kind of underwhelming to me. I enjoyed a lot of guitar passages and drumming here. The singing did kinda nothing for me.

I'm a sucker for harmony. And CSN

This is such a great folk rock album! I found this really enjoyable, it makes for easy listening

Song after song on this thing hit. The iconic vocal harmonies, the dated but warm production. Classic

I could relax and listen to these beautiful vocal harmonies all day and not tire of them. Wonderful folk rock debut. Favorite track: Helplessly Hoping

CSN-Y.
Like if Beatles made an album without John Lennon. Still Great.

ah, eh até de boa. bacana, tem umas guitarrinha boa, galera sabia o que tava fazendo.
porém, falta um neil young aqui. o outro era mais legal...

Good 60s folk rock.

Well aware of these guys, where's Young? Listened once this morning, and it's not bad at all, several songs stuck out at first a bit like "Helplessly Hoping" and "Long Time Gone". But so far seems like fairly average, above average folk rock, really reminds me of Neil Young's 70s albums even though, funnily enough, he has not joined this group at this point in time. All in all I am thinking this is good but not overly great, quite easily 3.5/5.0 but I will round down to 3 stars.
Rated 6/10
Technically good, but not really great in any way.

Crosby, Stills & Nash has a name more like a law firm than any other band I know. Unrelated: this album is pretty good. There’s a mix of great folk rock songs, and some I just don’t really care about. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, Guinnevere, You Don’t Have To Cry, Wooden Ships, and Helplessly Hoping are all pretty excellent songs. Marrakech Express is fine, but it gets a little grating. Pre-Road Downs has some cool psych stuff, but isn’t a highlight either. And a lot of the rest is just kind of whatever to me. But I am glad I heard this in general.
Rated 4/10
Samey, strummy, denim-clad dullness. Marrakesh Express is quite fun though.
