ok but why does make over sound like it could be from the twewy ost

This was her "dirrty" phase. I still remember SNL mocking this when they had Xtina (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) saying the video wasn't "dirrrty enough" and a production assistant shouted "Can we get more urine in the fog machine, please?" re: the album - I'm not a pop fan, although there have been albums I've appreciated on the 1001. This isn't bad per se - she has a powerful voice, with a lot of impressive control jumping across notes (although I'd prefer a little less "ooh-ooOOh aaaAAAhh") - but the album is stylistically all over the place and way too long. Again, I can't say I disliked it, but I can't say I'd seek it out again either. Tracks I liked: Fighter, Infatuation, Beautiful, Get Mine, Get Yours.
Rated 2/10
Peak 2002: a TRL video star, expensive production aiming for lush but ultimately kind of chintzy crappy digital sounding, ubiquitous hip hop elements, RnB slow jams, psuedo heavy guitar riffs for no reason with the worst tone imaginable, pop discovering Latinos, horniness as feminism and generic empowerment, ultra low rise jeans and terrible haircuts, all stuffed into a sprawling 78 minutes. Her voice is powerful, she's good at going real low into a growl to gather force for an alto explosion, hitting those glass shattering high notes; it's a strong and pretty varied vocal performance - the ballads are too much though. A couple of good songs but sooo much garbage to wade through - lots just bland and boring but some aggressively bad (Fighter, Cruz, voice within).
Favorites: Get Mine Get Yours, Walk Away, Dirrty

Stripped is a pretty alright album. The last Christina Aguilera album i looked at is quite different from this one as while the former has two different styles for two sides, This one seems to combine the two styles. This one also has some of the same vibes that the Justin Timberlake album i did which makes sense since the two artists did eventually perform this album live together but this album does lack that one's absurdity. The album itself is decent with the singles being some pretty good songs and the other ones being decent but forgettable. This album was really long though without much change or interestingness. This is an alright album, just kinda forgettable.
Best Song: Fighter
Worst Song: I'm OK

Just another ex-1001 album!™

I was fully expecting to dislike this album, and I mostly did... but there were a few tracks that stood out and, dare I say, enjoyed!
It's an odd album, Aguilera seems to want to be both a modern R&B soulstress and Xtina dirty sex siren, which seems disastrous, probably why she went "Back to Basics" for her follow-up album.

Good pop album for the time with some truly exceptional vocal performances and impeccable production. Songwriting is a bit too cheesy for me to want to listen to again but I didn’t hate this. The grunge rip off “Make Over” made me laugh.
Rated 6/10
Non-offensive pop music from the early 2000s that has a couple standout songs (Beautiful and Fighter spring to mind) and a wide variety of styles. ENjoyable but probably twice as long as necessary. I blame digital media, where you can have a literal infinite number of tracks (8, 12, 24 - what the hell, why not 128? 256?) and an unlimited amount of recording time (in the past, you would only want to buy so much tape, noiw that doesn't matter, the artist can burn through digital media without consequence).
It's ok. More of a 2 1/2 star out of five but you have to round and I'll round up because Christina Aguilera is a better singer than most of her contemporaries including Madonna.
Rated 4/10
There's a 3 star 25 minutes album in here.
Rated 2/10
I liked this one less than the other Aguilera we had to listen to (and I didn't like that one.)
It's just so overproduced and boring. Her voice is strong, but it can't redeem what else is going on here. And it falls into that late 90s, early 2000s trap of *Hey* we have 80 mins that we can fit on a CD, let's fill the thing up. No, it's too long. You could've cut 4 or 5 songs and it still would've gotten the same point across.
Rated 2/10
Generic corpo-pop. It's too all over the place to really have its own identity.
Rated 4/10
vähän geneeriseksi jäävää nollaripoppia.
Rated 8/10
This album has a lot of good songs in it. The songs are also quite diverse.
Rated 10/10
Every third song got radio play, and deserved it. So full of hard hitting power ballads. This one does not miss.
Rated 8/10
Forgot about Christina! This album is great, especially "Fighter" and "Dirrrty," which have charisma and attitude. There's a really cheesy ballad here and a Sugababes rip-off, but it's all good otherwise. Surprised by the brief moments where it sounded like Oneohtrix Point Never.
Rated 6/10
Objectively really good. Touches on some heavy subjects and has a surprising amount of depth for a pop album. The runtime it a bit too long for my taste however and its not really my cup of tea.
Rated 6/10
This is one of the best pop albums on the list. Firstly, it has great songs on it. Versatile sounds like going from fighter and dirty to beautiful. 3 great pop songs and songs of the early 00's
This is as good as pop gets. Too much filler for me though like underappreciated and make over. This makes it a 3 for me.
Favourite song: Dirty
Least favourite: Underappreciated.
Album artwork: Cool cover.

Some of these songs brought back a lot of memories. Summer holidays: on the way to Blackpool in the car for a day out at the theme park. Listening on my mp3 player and singing along out of tune. Life was good
Sadly apart from the singles, the rest of the album was pretty boring and was too long. Some of these songs were absolutely terrible
It gets a star for nostalgia and the fact that dirrty is a banger

A few great songs, a few good songs, and a whole heap of filler. The good songs, along with her flawless vocals, lift it above average for me, musically and lyrically. But it could have been so much better with fewer songs (and no interludes) and slightly more consistent production
Rated 4/10
Christina wil niet meer het popje zijn. Waarom straalt de hoes dan niets muzikaals uit en staat er dan niets anders op dan haarzelf als popje?
Goed, daar gaat het niet over. We moeten luisteren.
Rated 6/10
I have to admit that I was surprised to see this one the list.
I remember hating most of this album when it came out and was played constantly. I was probably wrong.
This is not my style of music, but it's not bad. I'm not sure what makes this album different from a ton of other pop albums from the same decade. Why did this album make the list instead of them? Or are they all here and I just haven't gotten to them yet? Overall good, but slightly too long, pop album. Not sure how influential it actually was.
