Meatloaf is a strong contender for the worst stage name in classic rock. The album he made is best described as cock rock for theater kids. I can't fathom how this is compared to Bruce Springsteen; it's far too different musically and thematically for that to make sense. In the end, despite solid arrangements, it lacks the tight songs that make a truly great album, instead featuring a 10-minute pomp fest of a title track and multiple other unnecessarily long songs.

His name is Robert Paulson.

It was just okay for me as much as it has some bangers on it
Rated 4/10
i like rhps. but the kitschy tongue in cheek fun of the film is lost without, well, the film.
Rated 2/10
Deeply annoying music.

I'm familiar with this album and don't like it. I'm not even gonna bother giving it my usual "well, 1001albumsgenerator picked it for today, so I'll listen to it anyway" customary spin. I'm just not interested in listening to this album again.
Rated 6/10
Has its moments but is also kind of basic rock.
3.0/5.0: Good
Rated 10/10
theatrical and over the top in the best way, incredibly fun listen

Expected more from such a huge seller. Girls were meh. Nir did not want to listen to it.

I always forget how much I love this album!!!
Rated 10/10
A very powerful album that I enjoy a lot.
Standout tracks: Too many to list.
Rest in peace, Meat Loaf.

I cannot get into this, just plain boring!
Rated 6/10
I wonder how many metalheads bought this album when it came out based on the album art and were disappointed. Seriously the album art is metal as hell. Definitely does not match the music. Paradise By the Dashboard Lights is a classic, just a fun song. The rest of the album wasn’t bad but I don’t think I’d go back to it.

Fun, over the top, theatrical cheese. 3.5/5. Raising to 4.
Rated 6/10
It's boisterous and ridiculous and I can't fault it for being what is on the tin so fully.
Rated 8/10
Okay, so I'd heard of Meat Loaf (though not much), and I don't know why, but I was totally under the impression he was this tough guy, and his music was just as rude and heavy. Well, I was honestly surprised to listen to this and realize that Meat Loaf is actually the heterosexual Elton John (just like one of the reviews here mentioned). I had so much fun listening to this!
Rated 8/10
Rated 4/10
Включив цей альбом і згадав чому мені ніколи не подобався міт лоаф.
Rated 6/10
High energy, fun, silly, and bombastic.
Just an insanely fun record with it's 50's rock style.
However, for me it's not doing much. It's a bit too cheesy. But still a classic that absolutely belongs on this list.
