Rated 8/10

Good album, it's just held back by a few songs and Axl Rose's singing; he sounds like he sings through a harmonica for his high notes and it's rather annoying. 4/5

Rated 8/10

Feels like every song on this album could have been a hit. Don't like the hits as much on it since they're so incredibly overplayed. Great essential piece of hair metal though, probably all the hair metal you will ever need.

Rated 6/10

OK, so Welcome to the Jungle is an all-timer if you like rock music, so let's just get that out of the way now. Sweet Child O' Mine is, if you're of a certain vintage, another all-time banger. Now for the rest.

I mean, it's hard for me to get the fact that this is the quintessential hair band out of my head, but this is definitely straight ahead hard rock. It's not as hair band-y sounding as, say, Poison, so that' something. Rose's voice gets grating after awhile.

Rated 8/10

A cult classic that has aged surprisingly well. Yes, the hits are overplayed on the radio, but that’s just testament to what great songs they are.

Banger after banger! Good stuff

What is there to say about an album that's been on repeat on rock radio stations ever since it got released in 87?
Released at the right moment in time when Rock 'n' Roll was in need of a good kick up the ass because it had become stale and goody-goody.
and Guns 'n' Roses did just that. No, it's not the best album in history, but Hardrock like this is about the attitude, and this band brought it.

Rated 8/10

Banger! Vanvittig debut, måske lidt for lang, men langt de fleste sange kan stort set stå for sig selv.

Rated 4/10

Some classics, but nothing else.

Rated 4/10

Not just dad rock, but like cargo cult dad rock. stuff that came out late enough in the (boomer) dads' lives that it can't be dismissed as a nostalgia thing

Rated 4/10

Welcome to the jungle and paradise city are great tunes. Classic rock songs. Axl Rose has one hell of a voice.

The songs do feel dated for me and a bit too stadium. The songs are long with no end in sight and they all feel very similar to me.

Favourite song: Paradise city
Least favourite: there is a lot of filler on this album.
Album artwork: Cool cover

I haven't listened to this record in a while and I forgot how amazing it is!!! This record is packed with bangers. Also, while Slash is an amazing guitar player, it's worth noting Izzy's contribution. These two compliment each other so well with their guitar parts! Even though I am not a fan of the vocals, it works very well with the songs, and whether you like it or not, Axl's voice is unlike any other. Overall, this is a 5 star record for sure!

Only had heard the big three, but the album is solid. Not amazing but good

Rated 8/10

Probably as much of an apex album of this hair metal bad boy style as possible. Nightrain was a personal favorite growing up. Thought the back half of the album gets a little more languid in its excess, take away any track and you really lose a piece of the statement they were going for imho. for me its not a 5 star album but, for millions of Boomer dads, this is tops.

Rated 4/10

I’ll give it this: even though I still don’t think it sounds very good at all, I do think it sounds *slightly* better than most of the other hard rock/hair metal from this era that I don’t care for. The drums are the only instrument consistently drowning in reverb, which I appreciate. I just don’t have anything positive to say after that, though. This music isn’t fun or badass to me, and Axl Rose is absolutely in the running for my least favorite front-person of all time. Every now and then, an intro to one of these songs will almost resemble a 70’s Aerosmith or AC/DC song that I can kind of dig, and then…he sings, and it’s ruined. I can’t stand the sound, nor the attitude, of his voice, and that’s not taking his dreadful lyrics into account. Every pinch harmonic and pick slide makes me roll my eyes. If I could never hear “Welcome to the Jungle” and *especially* “Paradise City” ever again, I’d be a happy man.

Rated 8/10

Rated 8/10

I think this is as close to a guilty pleasure I have. It's just all so stupid. All these clumsy euphemisms for things but then every other word is fuck? So stupid. I can't help but love it. Will I ever listen to the whole album again? No, but some of the songs are amazing.

Rated 10/10

Appetite for Destruction is the best album i have looked at so far (how many times am i going to keep saying this?). I have had quite a bit of experience with this album from Welcome To The Jungle playing in nearly every trailer, Paradise City being in Burnout Paradise and just Sweet Child O' Mine just being a frequent song on classic radio stations. All three of them are great songs but even most of the regular album tracks are great too. This is most definitely an amazing album.
Best Song: It's So Easy
Worst Song: Rocket Queen

Rated 10/10

Meeblèren met de hits. Terwijl het muzikaal dik in orde is. Ik wil het 4,5 sterren geven. Maar dat vertroebelt wel het '80's cijfer. Nou vooruit.

Rated 10/10

Any better debut Side 1, Track 1 intros.............................. no, I'll wait........................

Rated 4/10

I see the appeal obviously, but GnR have never really done much for me. Apart from a couple of songs (Welcome to the Jungle and Patience) they mostly bore me. There is some good guitar playing on here and they certainly have energy, but nothing on this album changed my mind.
