Sounds very much like Ronnie Wood's audition tape for the Rolling Stones, even though he didn't join the Stones until 1975.
Putting a Ronnie Lane sung track in the middle of 2 Rod Stewart tracks was a mistake. I don't know why Rod didn't front the whole album, but I guess he had other things on his mind.
Not bad.

Rated 8/10

Rod Stewart rightfully gets dragged for his solo work. But his voice with the Faces is just so spot on.

That being said - based on what these songs are about, how none of these dudes got #MeTooed is beyond me.

Rated 4/10

Me aburrió un toque, no sé si es malo necesariamente pero no tiene nada muy interesante para mostrar.

If you like good ole classic 70's rock, then this one's for you! Luckily, I am particularly partial to that particular genre of music, so I really enjoyed this. Not perfect, but let's face it, it's perfectly good.

Rated 6/10

i like some of the songs, but it's mostly just classic rock which is okay in my eyes

This really isn’t for me. 𝘈 𝘕𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘈𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘈𝘴 𝘢 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘬… 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘉𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦 has that loose, rowdy pub-rock energy, but the whole thing feels a bit too sloppy and unfocused to hold my attention. I can see the charm the band is going for, just not enough to make it work for me over a full album. And after a while, Rod Stewart’s voice starts to get on my nerves, which makes the album even harder to get into.

Faces strikes me as an efficient & potent amalgam of The Rolling Stones & Creedence, boasting the pub rock sound of the former & the heartlandia of the latter. This is good music, the kind we need in the world - that we get for cheap, that we keep coming back to in the end b/c it scratches an itch & offers a vigorous simplicity. Stewart's still an underrated vocalist, & Lane does a more than competent job adding a pinch o' Dylan to the mix. 'Why! They're playing "Tracks Of My Tears".' Clearly in love w/ rock 'n' roll, plain & simple, Faces only falters to the extent that their calories are at times as empty as the vacancy they don't really fill. Others have done a better job w/ this sort of product. No matter tho, A Nod Is As Good As gets my vote.

The Black Crows owe Faces.

Rated 8/10

A good album elevated by the wonderful Stay With Me and Debris at its centre.

I prefer Ooo-La-La. But I’m alone in that.

Rated 6/10

Solid blues rock, and great performances from Rod Stewart—"Stay with Me" hits. I've listened to it before, and while I like it, nothing blows me away. But still, seems like a great record to have on vinyl for a poker night.

Rated 6/10

Pretty cool, did not know Rod Stewart was in a group before going solo

Rated 6/10

Not a huge fan of Rod Stuart, but I really liked this group. The music was great. Amazing guitar and electric organ. Questionable lyrics sometimes though.

Rated 4/10

Not quite a 2, but def not 3

Rated 6/10

Rod Stewart is in this band? interesting.

It was a fine album. It seems that the Robinson brothers of The Black Crowes had to get some inspiration from this group, especially from "Miss Judy's Farm"

Rated 6/10

I enjoyed this album! I think someone said it already, but this is just solid middle of the road rock. Not trying to blow you away with their musical prowess or trying too hard. Just making good solid songs. 3.50 for me.

Rated 6/10

I’d never heard of Faces. I had no idea that Rod Stewart was in this band. I recognize a couple songs. Glad I listened to it. Probably will file this into the glad I listened to it files.

Rated 6/10

novamente, nao eh ruim. é gostosim até, mas nada demais não. mais interessante que alguns que passaram por aqui, mas ainda nao eh la aquelas coisa....

Rated 8/10

Pretty fun album. Great, loose unprocessed 70s sound. This is the best way to hear Rod Stewart - where he takes a break from singing every few tracks.

Rated 6/10

I’ve never liked Rod Stewart so this one was facing an uphill battle from the get go. First 3-4 tracks I really wasn’t feeling it and we were heading towards one star territory but from Stay With Me onwards it started to pick up.

Stand out track for me by a country mile was Memphis. Loved it and I will make a point to check out the Chuck Berry original later on.

Top Track - Memphis
