I had to re-write my thoughts on this, because I initially found a lot of it incredibly boring. However about half way through I thought it picked up a lot more and I was way more on-board with it. I went back and re-listened a bunch of times and actually it grew on me much more and I was able to appreciate it. There are some lovely songs in here as it turns out.

3.5 rounded down.

From their debut album, they’ve added both an additional member (Neil Young) and an additional star.

Nothing wrong with it, just not my style. I like Young's solo stuff a lot better.

Yet another CSNY release, to go along with the seemingly dozens that we've already had. More of the same stuff; not super exciting, but a couple of good songs on it. In this case they are "Almost Cut My Hair" and "Helpless".

Wow, short!

Very good. I liked it.

5 stars for the harmonies alone!

This album contains some excellent songs, and I really enjoy Young's contributions, but I think the overwhelming country twang of it all does turn me off from it quite a bit, as stuff like those country guitars feel cheesy and stereotypical, and the rock hevay numbers are forgettable. Still when the album pulls something off, it really pulls it off. Our House is really pretty, especially.

Cool, groovy 70s sound. Feel like I need to be smoking pot along to this album. Enjoyable, 3*.

For the past year, my musical appetite has been mostly mellow acoustic-ish (I know there’s electric guitars and stuff used too) music, like CSN/Y, Joni, Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, Willie Nelson, etc. It’s just been my vibe. Lately, I’ve been wanting to break out of that trend and expanding into more types of music and that was a big incentive to do this project.

This is one of several CSN/Y and solo albums I have one vinyl. This is probably my favorite one, even though it doesn’t have Suite: Judy Blue Eyes on it, which I’m sure will pop up at some point, so more to come on that song later.

Anyway, yeah, I’m a big fan.

I wasn't really expecting too much from Deja Vu before I heard it. But now that I have, Its definitely better than I expected. I liked quite a bit of the guitar riffs and vocals even if sometimes, I felt the quality of the music sounded like it was coming off of a Game Boy Advance (could just be the quality of the YouTube videos that played these songs because most of them are 13-14 years old but whatever) Overall, while it doesn't really go beyond decent. I still said the word decent so that's what it is.
Best Song: Carry On / Questions
Worst Song: Our House

Met de geforceerde zin 'Our house is a 'very very very' fine house' gevolgd door het Beatles-achtige gelalalala.

I'm not really a big supergroup guy for the most part. There's some really solid songs here but it just feels a bit too disjointed for me and lacks that clear artistic vision of a single voice. Still an enjoyable listen though.

not really my cup of tea tbh... nothing against it just not what i want to listen to

Rated 8/10

Enjoyed this more than I'd expected to.

The parallel vocal harmonies have always been wonderful. It may just be needing to go to youtube to listen to the tracks Young authored skewing my view, but Nothing truly grabbed me. Still a good listen, would listen again.

Rated 6/10

I'm not really getting anything super impactful from this.

Otro que mejor en Tidal. Empieza bien con "Carry on". Muy bonitas "Almost cut my hair", "Helpless", "Déjà vu", "Our home", "4 + 20" o "Every body I love you". No esperaba encontrarme con un disco tan bueno de 4 estrellas hacia arriba. No os lo perdáis.

Unfortunately ended too fast. Great album.

I always like hearing C.S.N.&Y., but I also find myself wishing a lot of the time that the rest of their stuff was as angry and bitter as "Ohio"

Spotify doesn't have the Neil and Joni penned songs of course, but no matter, I have this one on vinyl. Neil's songs aren't the best thing here anyway. His guitar certainly adds some nice flavor, but I feel like he was saving his best material for his solo records at this point. Stills, Nash, and even Crosby are in top form though, cranking out some tunes that were very of their times, but which sound timeless.
