I was a little hesitant when I saw yet ANOTHER radiohead album but then I heard it and I was like nahhhhhhhhhh these guys can stay
Rated 6/10
This album has its ups and downs, but it's overall a decent listen.
Rated 4/10
Despite there being over 1000 albums, random fate has decided I need to listen to the entire radiohead catalog before I even get halfway through. As with every other of their albums, I don't get why they're here. This album, like the others, isn't special or notable. It's boring. Dry. Whiny. It would sound better submerged underwater
Rated 8/10
Love Radiohead, this is awesome but not one of my favorites, together with Pablo Honey and Amnesiac (and still gave Amnesiac a 5 due to fanboyism, i still regret that)
fav tracks: There, There, Sail to the Moon, Where I End and You Begin, I Will, A Wolf at the Door
Rated 6/10
Comparing it to other Radiohead albums, this is a strong three.

Everyone's second least favourite Radiohead album?
Definitely too long. Glad I tried Thom Yorke's alternative track list, which is a superior version and would definitely up its star rating by one.
Rated 8/10
I have to avoid reading about what Thom Yorke thinks about his own work because it seems like I always disagree. For instance, he thought the song Backdrifts could have been left off the album when I thought it was a standout. Nonetheless, "Hail to the Thief" is like all Radiohead albums - never not interesting. Sonically shocking us this time, not with sounds like they lit a synthesizer on fire, but with acoustic guitar and a drum kit.
WELL PLAYED, Radiohead. Well played.

Letztes radiohead album noch wohlwollend mit 3 Sternen bewertet. Ich werd kein fan mehr glaub ich. +1 fürs album Cover

I specifically remember listening to this on a Saturday morning in 2003, and the girl living beneath me at the time asked me to turn it down but also said, "it sounds nice."
While Radiohead's work has usually been pretty nebulous and rooted in a vague dissatisfaction with (then) modern life, this is a much more pointed attack on Bush and Blair's war on terror. It veers even further away from their rock beginnings and down the experimental path of Kid A and Amnesiac, leaning into Johnny Greenwood's soundtrack work at times.
Great to start with, but it soon becomes boring and cloying. About a third of the way into this album is exactly when Radiohead ran out of ideas.

I've listened to this album for almost 15 years now, and it has stood the test of time well. This album isn't necessarily cohesive, and instead comes off similar to it's album artwork - a series of loosely connected vignettes with similar themes. Yet it's through this style that this album stands out amongst Radiohead's catalogue of more seamless albums.
Some of the tracks are not as strong as others given this style of delivery, which lowers the overall score a tad, but all around an iconic album and a unique one in Radiohead's discography. 4.2/5 -> 4/5

I used to think Radiohead was too slow and sad for my taste so I shunned them. Then they came to play in my city and I got tickets mostly because there is a lot of hype surrounding them and they do not come here very often. I decided I would listen to their discography before the show. I ended up finding at least something off of every album that I enjoyed. And then I saw them live. My seats were so far from the stage that they looked like ants, but the music and the energy and the lighting all contributed to an amazing experience I will never forget. Sure I didn't see Thom's wonky eye up close but the music sounded amazing and that's what I was there to discover. This album was probably my least favorite of their discography, but I couldn't tell you why. It just didn't excite me as much as the others. But upon listening to it again, I've found myself enjoying almost every song. I need to read the lyrics because old mumble mouth just mumbles right along through this one too, but musically this is a beautiful album. I like the political stance as well even if it does seem out of place for Radiohead. It was definitely the right time to protest what was happening in global politics. Radiohead is a slow burn. One definitely needs multiple listens to digest this music, and I've found those types of bands and albums my favorite.

This music sounds like depression to me.
Rated 2/10
Why the fuck are there so many Radiohead albums on this list? This marks 5 that I've reviewed so far. It's honestly like nails on a fucking chalkboard for me. I just really don't get the appeal. Ya wanna know what Thom Yorke is good at? Moaning.
Favourite songs: Myxomatosis
Least favourite songs: Sail to the Moon, Backdrifts, We Suck Young Blood, The Gloaming, I Will, A Wolf At the Door

I think this album well executes the marriage of their most rocking material up to this point and the more electronic aspects of their previous two albums. I think it runs a bit too long, but it’s probably my fourth favorite Radiohead. One of the few albums of theirs you could unironically say doesn't get enough credit.

no one likes a smart arse but we all like stars

Not bad, but as it's Radiohead, it's kinda boring to me. 3/5

Roulette for whether a song is laborious or pleasant to listen to.
Rated 8/10
Radiohead has always had this unique style of music that is very difficult to replicate exactly and i feel that Hail To The Thief shows off this style perfectly. The mix of rock and electronic sounds always had some moments that kept me on my toes yet they still sounded cool and coherent for the most part. Thom Yorke's voice also really came out well through these tracks and always helped make these tracks so interesting with the help of the music of course. I do feel like some parts of the music could have been composed a little bit better but beyond that, This is still a great album that feels so fresh and unique and i feel is also a step above Amnesiac.
Best Song: Sit Down Stand Up
Worst Song: Scatterbrain

Good album, liked it more than OK computer.

Aah sound of my teenage years . Trying to be a rock band again which is a shame
