I've loved this album since it came out, but always The Love Below. As a teenager I didn't enjoy Speakerboxxx and basically only listened to it once. Paying better attention to it today, really enjoying Tomb of the Boom. Still love The Love Below!

Post-Beatles pop-rock. Catchy and fun.

Clearly an influence on Lana Del Rey. It was a little samey and boring for me, but there were some pretty songs.

Jazz is not really my thing. Background music at best for me.
I think I get the band name now. This was a little sappy for me. Good pop-rock for the time.

Apple suggested there were rumors that Kurt Cobain had more influence on this album, and I can see why. It's much more grungy and Nirvana-like than Celebrity Skin. They are both good but in different ways!
Rated 6/10
Very catchy, I would have enjoyed this at the time. I'd appreciate hearing the instruments more, I think the beats were great and seeing it live was probably much better.

Classic 90s rap. Obsessed with sex and violence in a self-gratifying way. But very catchy, great beats, I was grooving most of the time I was listening.
Rated 6/10
Classic metal, heavy focus on guitar riffs and high-pitched singing. Not really for me but I can see how it was ahead of the trends at the time.
Rated 6/10
Solid alt-pop, even ahead of its time a bit maybe. Not much that sticks with me on first listen.
Rated 8/10
I really enjoy the instrumentation, it’s excellent. Robert Plant is actually my least favorite part!
