This is the sort of thing I love discovering through this project. An album I don’t suppose I’d have ever listened to otherwise which would have been a real shame as I really liked a lot of it.

Think Wilco probably edged it for me but I liked the alternative, different styles between them and Billy. California Stars is a great track.

Never really been into ravage particularly but can usually appreciate it for its place in music. I actually quite enjoyed this one as it flowed nicely and had a good sound.

This album is alright but just feels a bit lacking and unexciting and just doesn’t really stand out as a great addition to the 90’s musical offerings.

Another one of those albums where the singles feel like they’ve been so played to death that I’ve ignored the album for many years. I couldn’t remember what to expect but having listened again it’s a great album with a number of really good album tracks that will be going on the playlist. I really liked a Northern Soul and this is a continuation of that sound but it all just feels a lot bigger. Won’t be leaving it so long to listen again.

Pleasant enough in places and largely inoffensive. As a result it was also pretty bland and overall nothing much to set the pulse racing.

Was aware of Little Simz but never listened to any of their stuff. The album was a good length and had a decent flow to it. Very listenable as well which surprised me.

The sound was alright but hard to get past the lyrics. I’m sure this is a big deal for people into rap but I can’t say I’m a big fan.

Feared the worst but pleasantly surprised how much of this I actually quite enjoyed.

Quite enjoyed a lot of this one, certainly much more than I was expecting to. A couple of tracks I skipped on the third run through but overall one I will probably revisit at some point.

A really good album with some great songs. Another artist that I really should have taken notice of sooner!
