Started off stronger than it finished. Some of it has stood the test of time, some less so. Relatively enjoyable to listen to.

Ok so for some reason I never really got into this, or the Prodigy in general, at the time. I’m still not sure I would have got into it back then but listening to it now I’m regretting not listening to it sooner. So the singles are instantly recognisable but I hadn’t expected to like as much of the rest of it as I did. In fact I think I preferred more of the album tracks than the big hits themselves. Overall a very good record.

Never listened to any Janis Joplin, or so I thought, but recognised a couple of these and had never realised it was her. Was interested to listen to this though as was aware she was highly regarded by a lot of people. And it didn’t disappoint. Enjoyed this one a lot.

Not a big fan of jazz and it was hard to keep enthused with nearly 2 hours of it here. I mean it wasn’t bad and as jazz goes probably better than a lot of other efforts but I’d be lying if I said I was ever going to listen to any of this again.

Took a bit of time to get into but grew on me more with each listen. A lot to like in this one.

I don’t mind Take it Easy but the rest of this is just bland and soooo boring.

Enjoyed this album and clear to see the influence they had on later bands. Maybe could have done with being slightly shorter and a bit more variety in the songs but still a good listen.

Is this the sort of album and music I’d choose to listen to? No! Can I appreciate that it’s great at what it does? Absolutely.

A disco classic with some great tunes. Just because it’s not really my cup of tea I can still appreciate it as an album.

Better than I remember it being but still not overly bowled over by it. I did quite like His n Hers but there was always something about this one I didn’t really care for. Unfortunately time hasn’t really improved things. It’s alright but not brilliant and I don’t suppose I’ll be revisiting it anytime soon.

I really don’t like The Divine Comedy and therefore I don’t like this as this is clearly where they got their influence. In fact it’s not even an influence, the music, the lyrics and the tone of his singing is basically identical.

Anyway. This was not that much of a fun listen.

Possibly one of the trickiest albums to date so far. Given its lofty position at the top of the global ratings it has a lot to live up to and comes with a certain number of expectations.

Having listened to this album a number of times previously it has always grown on me each listen, finding new things to like each time. It’s another album that an 18 year old me would have scoffed at but as my ears have aged and my music tastes have changed it has become more appealing. I’d probably still give this a few stars if Go Your Own Way was the only song in it.

I do like a lot of this for what it is but I’m not quite at the ‘this is amazing’ stage as there are a few songs I wouldn’t be fussed about skipping.
