patchy, especially considering the highs they were achieving around this time, but does have it's moments

Really wonderful. Giving this the full 5 to try to counteract the moronic "elevator music" 1* reviews - if you think this sounds like generic muzak it says a lot more about you as a listener than it does the music

pure sleaze, the title track is worth 5 by itself - skronking sax over a filthy baseline and Iggy doing his best James Brown impression. One of the best albums on the list
Rated 4/10
really hasn't aged well
Rated 4/10
a raw talent here, the songs don't meet the singer's talent
Rated 6/10
Didn't like this as much as I expected, ranges from close to unlistenable (or at least aged very badly) and the best music ever written (Bombs Over Baghdad). Let's go in the middle

Still one of the most interesting albums released by a major artist this decade, this was Kanye firing on all cylinders creatively working with some of the most talented producers of their generation. You can rightly criticise Kanye as a human being but as a standalone piece of music this is as good as anything on the list - the opening run of 4 tracks is still electric
Rated 6/10
pretty good, kinda Neil Youngish
Rated 2/10
hard to be objective as I hated this so much at the time but it is truly dreadful - this was considered a flop at release before Angels was out and it's not hard to see why, sub sub Britpop
Rated 8/10
rating the original ep only, fond memories of seeing them live

this is great, excellent old school production
Rated 10/10
ridiculous

you can critique this for its appropriation sure but man, it's stacked and then some. the stones seem to have been forgotten from the conversation in recent years (there was still a big Beatles Vs Stones battle when I was younger which has seemingly completely died out) but this is as good an album as you'll ever hear

didn't love this at the time, there's some great (if played out) singles but found it quite trying at times
Rated 10/10
This is unexpectedly great, sounds like a less oppressive PIL. One thing about this challenge is it has made me realise a lot of Goth is good actually
Rated 6/10
only occasionally got my mojo workin'
Rated 6/10
enjoyed it but maybe one you had to be there for
Rated 8/10
Not what I expected at all! I thought it would be jazzy torch songs, not essentially a Grace Jones art pop/new wave album
Rated 10/10
Still rules
