In my head these were more chaotic noise rock but this is somewhere between a grimier Stones, didn't like it as much as I'd hoped

Insane stuff, totally ferocious playing - rock and roll in it's purest form
Rated 8/10
Not a perfect album but lots of cool stuff, particularly for 1979 - shades of Roxy Music and pre-empting Duran Duran
Rated 6/10
Liked it on first listen but second time around was very drab

Like sticking a fork in a power socket, amazing

Giving it 5 just to make up for all the haters and losers
Rated 8/10
Peters out at the end but the harder edged R&B tracks are great. Bit of it's time but there's lots to enjoy

2.5 maybe? Liked it more than I expected but it's definitely of an era

A great discovery, I always had in my head they were some lame indie band but definitely not the case. Will be at their next London show for sure
loved these guys back in the day (first UK Soft Bulletin tour, half-empty venue, amazing show) but have faded away over time

Liked this more than Dark Side of the Moon

Like it! Not their best but Wilco are always grand.

Sounding a bit dated now? Or maybe just overlistening back in the late 90s/early 00s as a stoner student. Going with 5 still for old times sake

This is a blast; bit of a mess and overlong but always interesting. Not as good as the Pixies but not much is.
Rated 8/10
Fun, haven't listened to this in years. Went to see Rush on a freebie once, glad I got the chance
Rated 6/10
Very theatrical, which I guess I should have expected from Cooper. Enjoyable enough but will never listen to this again

A 5* in 2005, the same in 2026. Touches something deep, you may have needed to have been there 20+ years ago but this still stands up imo
Rated 8/10
opening 4 tracks are the best run of their career, and better than most bands entire catalogue. Saw them on the tour for this and had a blast
Rated 6/10
Enjoyed this more as it progressed
Rated 10/10
Never gets old
