I see what they're saying about trying to make "entertaining" ambient. It's very upbeat and actually catchy much of the time, while still maintaining a solid ambient vibe. Very interesting stuff.

I dig some porcupine tree but haven't really explored much into Wilson's solo work. This was a cool introduction. It's a bit more chill than PT but still very proggy and interesting.

Very chill. The vocals are pretty and I like the inclusion of pipes but it doesn't really grip me much in spite of that.

Porcupine Tree are honestly kind of slept on in the prog scene honestly. This album is really hauntingly beautiful with just the right amount of heavy moments for contrast.

Another perfectly adequate but forgettable album to me. I think I like it a bit more than the last one just because it's got a bit more energy behind it but I doubt I'll circle back to it.

Another banger from Bon Iver. It's not my favorite from him but it's incredibly solid. The arrangements are much more intricate and full than For Emma while still maintaining that folk style for the most part.

Another classic from the aughts. Such Great Heights gets most of the fame but honestly this entire album slaps. It's pretty crazy that Ben Gibbard released this AND Transatlanticism in 2003. He was really on a hot one back then.

A titan of aughts-era indie rock, which is my bread and butter. This album is absolutely stunning and a must-hear well deserving of being on this list.

Super cool to see some modern ambient on here. This was very pretty and great music to work to. The title track in particular is hauntingly beautiful.
