Lots of gear tracks but also some sixties silliness.

Who's this album meant for? In what setting would I play this? It's got a killer lineup backing her but... it's still not good. I had never heard of the Divine Comedy before I started this 1001 project and every time I come across them, I'm left wondering why this/they were ever a thing. I'm also left wondering how popular cabaret/baroque pop was or is this just a handful of people thinking that it was popular/good/important and trying to shove it down the throat of the rest of us?

I know if I had been 44 when this came out in 1992, I would've been the target audience as a middle-aged mom. But this is just not for me. I guess it's well recorded but gods be damned it's boring and uninteresting. I felt like there was not one notable song or lick on this whole album.

This is my kind of punk. Because ya know, as a middle aged mom, Ian McKay as a teenager is what sings to my heart.

This was fun and unexpected!

Trainspotting is all I can think of. That iconic scene of Ee-wan just legging it through the streets of Edinburgh.

This is actually 3.5 stars rounded down because it's beyond way too long. There were some good songs but christ on the cross this couldn't been halved and still too long
Rated 8/10
This has a clip I wasn't expecting. Amazing Grace being there was kinda weird but fine
Rated 6/10
This felt like two different bands/albums. The first half was rocking and really good. The second half was when the 60s psychedelia vocals started and that shit is not for me
Rated 10/10
In my youth, this was my favourite Zeppelin album. Now a few years older, I find the lyrics to be a bit cringey.
This was pretty good, might revisit this. It's close to a 4 but not quite there
Rated 6/10
This didn't really stand out for me in any way, shape of form.
Rated 6/10
This feels like such a bummer of an album. It's sad in a way I can't quite describe. It also felt really samesy.
There's a lot of 70s UK punk on this list. Admittedly, I had never heard of The Adverts. This is fine but I feel like it's on the list because someone listened to this when it came out or was part of that scene. It's not bad per se but it's not a standout album in any respect. It's fun and in my wheelhouse, making it 3 stars. But the lyrics are really basic even for punk, the songs all sound kind of the same and it's definitely not best in show for 70s UK punk.

The global reviews really hate this, and I think a lot of it is due to the alternate spelling that plagues this album. I mean, first impressions are also a bit tough with those haircuts, especially the shirtless fella with the dad barrel bod on the far right. Nevertheless, this wasn't actually all that bad. Feels like some pretty typical early 70s glam rock.

I fucking love the cover art for this album.
Rated 6/10
The first half of this was better than the second half. My thing about a lot of reggae is that the songs on a single album tend to have very little variability.
Rated 4/10
Some of this is fun, some of it is not. Our House stands above the rest by leaps and bounds.
Rated 10/10
Love it, it still hits like it did for me in my youth.
Rated 6/10
This was really long and would've benefited from a trim
