I'm going to immediately assign this a 1, then be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong. There is no reason why Radiohead needs to be featured so heavily in this book. This will be album #6 of theirs I've had thus far... Can't wait to hear Thom Yorke start moaning instead of singing... Ffs.

Favourite songs: Karma Police, Paranoid Android

Least favourite songs: Fitter Happier, Exit Music (For a Film)

I actually already own this record on vinyl. It is hands down their best albums. Toys in the Attic, Uncle Salty, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Big Ten Inch Record...phenomenal record.

This is their debut album. It has Da Funk, and Around the World on it. Those songs went pretty big when this album dropped in the late 90's.

This album is great for working. Good beat, rave quality electronica. To just sit and listen to, it would be repetitive as fuck and probably become annoying after a while.

Favourite songs: Around the World, Da Funk

Least favourite songs: Burnin'

This album is apparently their debut album. It has Helter Skelter on it..... That Beatles song Charles Manson thought had hidden prophesies in it .... So that's creepy as fuck. This version is dark as hell.

I'm not a huge Siouxsie fan, but this album isn't bad. It isn't great, but I can see how it was a turning point in post punk/goth rock which influenced a shit ton of bands to follow. This one is better than the other one I had (Juju).

Favourite songs: Carcass, Metal Postcard (Mittageisen), Nicotine Stain

Least favourite songs: Pure (just random moaning)

These guys can't pick one idea for a song. Like, you'll get 30 seconds of one style, then they'll completely change for another 45 seconds.... Then change again..... It's jarring and annoying.

Why is this album on this list? Utter garbage.

Favourite songs: The Wall Street Shuffle, Oh Effendi

Least favourite songs: Clockwork Creep, Somewhere in Hollywood, Baron Samedi

Sister Sledge is, in fact, made up of "family". The group consists of four sisters.

Immediately upon hearing the tune to the first song on the album, He's The Greatest Dancer, I heard Will Smith's song Gettin' Jiggy Wit It. Turns out Will sampled the song.

We Are Family is an absolute disco staple! So iconic of the era. I learned that they worked with Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards from CHIC on the song.

This album gets a 4 simply because of how important it was to the genre.

Favourite songs: We Are Family, He's the Greatest Dancer, Lost in Music

Ffs, not another My Bloody Valentine album. This is my third of theirs that I've had so far. Ever wonder what shoegaze would sound like underwater? If so, these idiots may be for you! Super fuzzy distorted instruments and moaning. No clue what the singer is saying...... Utter garbage.

The idiots couldn't even be bothered thinking up a cool album name.... "let's just use the band's initials!".... Anything else may be considered work..... Fuck these guys. Also, the prize for shittiest album artwork across all of their albums has to go to these tools. Shitty nonsense, or out of focus photos.

Nothing at all about this was enjoyable. It all ran together into one 46 minute steaming pile of horse shit. I've checked, and this is their last album. They only have three. So all of their records were included on this stupid list, while many more deserving acts weren't even included on this list. Revisit your musical tastes you fucking muppets.

Favourite songs: only tomorrow,

Least favourite songs: this whole God awful piece of shit

1/5.....0 if I could.,

This album was absolutely fantastic! I'm not much of a jazz fan typically., I don't know why... I'm not sophisticated enough I suppose, but this album hit right for me. It was really well done. All of the artists were tight, and I enjoyed the solos (mainly bass and drum) that they did throughout the record.

The first thing that struck me when Ba-Lue Bolivar Ba-Lues-Are came on was... "Man, this sounds like the Cruella de Vil song". Apparently, the Cruella song was written by Mel Leven as an hommage to Thelonious Monk.

I also thought Pannonica sounded familiar. It took me a while to figure it out, but the tune sounds a lot like Hopelessly Devoted To You by Olivia Newton-John from the musical Grease. Also, it turns out that Jon Hendricks wrote lyrics for the song, and Carmen McRae sang them. That song is called Little Butterfly.

Favourite songs: Ba-Lue Bolivar Ba-Lues-Are, Pannonica, Brilliant Corners

Least favourite songs: "I Surrender, Dear"

5/5

This is a concept album. The concept is that this is a score to a crime film that doesn't exist. This comes right from the album summary: "The music is almost completely instrumental except for occasional screams, vocal samples and a choir."... Fuck...

This album was utter garbage. I don't understand why this would be included on a list like this.... No redeeming qualities at all.

Favourite songs: Under Wraps

Least favourite songs: On the Wrong Side of Relaxation (entirely made up of whispering and screaming..... Wtf)... And the rest of this God forsaken album

My second Echo & the Bunnymen album on this generator (the first being their debut album, Crocodiles). It's kinda like The Jesus & Mary Chain mixed with the dark/brooding Siouxsie & the Banshees.

The more I listen to this album, the more receptive to their sound I become. It's abrasive, Dark and weird at first, but settles into its own after a bit. A second listen is probably warranted for this one. Kinda like Bauhaus or Siouxsie & the Banshees, it took me a while to get into them. You definately need to be in a certain mood to enjoy it.

Favourite songs: Heads Will Roll, Ripeness, Never Stop - Discotheque, The Cutter, Back of Love

Least favourite songs: Porcupine

This band was started by Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon. They are known as the band that created the post punk genre I guess. Someone commented that in the song Fodderstompf, the singer sounds like Carl Wheezer from Jimmy Neutron, and now thats all I can hear. There is also a terrible moment at the start of Attack where someone feels the need to clear their nose before starting the song.

Favourite songs: Attack

Least favourite songs: Fodderstompf, Religion I
