I swear to God there's a Five Nights at Freddy's song or a Bendy and the Ink Machine one that sounds EXACTLY like that first song. I felt like I was getting war flashbacks when hearing it.

Imagine MY DISAPPOINTMENT upon listening to the rest of the album and not A SINGLE song sounding like a FNAF one after that first piece. I'm really not a fan of this album and this guy. I'm not sure what his other stuff sounds like, but I'm not curious in the slightest. I think that's enough for today. Two of the songs can't play on Spotify in my region, and I think I should be thankful to anything or anyone responsible for that. Damn, this was bad. PLEASE GOD NEVER LET THIS EXPERIENCE REPEAT AGAIN. My family has some hearing problems; in times like this, I hope I inherited those so I could never listen to this again. On the other hand, dementia is also heavily prevalent in my family. I so hope I won't get that one because maybe I'll forget how bad this shit was and I'd listen to it again.

"Sailing" is so fucking boring; it’s like nothing at all. The rest is average indie. I don't feel like there’s anything new here. I’ve heard it a thousand times before, and nothing really stands out to me. It’s alright to listen to. I don't hate it, but it’s not like I’d go out of my way to listen to it. It’s fine. Standard indie vocals and sounds that are easy to listen to; nothing too daring.

I only know "Under the Bridge" as of now, and let's just say I'm not excited to hear "Suck My Kiss" based on the way people talk about it. It's the upcoming song and so far I don't hate this album. It's eh. I've always had a bit of a problem with the vocals in their songs. Okay, it's not the worst song ever. It's just like the rest of this album. So eh. I don't really like the funk element honestly.

My little white ass is tickled pink
Cock my brain to shoot my load
Global abortion please
She must be moist
"I'm in love with the wilderness", Lottie Matthews at some point probably
My dick got hard
She liked the looks of me and my willy
My hard-on bleeding (I can lend you a tampon for that, man)
There's a devil in my dick and some demons in my semen
Creamy beaver (just say wet pussy at this point; it's not making me cringe as much)
Ooo that's tight
Turned a cherry pie right into jam (that poor woman's clit)
In your pussy I'd kill
Put your kidneys to sleep

And for my new favorite poem:

"Twinkle twinkle little star
Shining down on my blue car
Driving down the boulevard
She was soft and I was hard"

Guys, as a woman I can assure you that talking so much about how hard your dick is will totally get you that woman (to call the police).

I didn't expect much at all. It's not astounding, but it's alright. Some songs are really good, like 'The Seventh Seal' (I haven't seen it mentioned that much) and 'The Old Man's Back Again,' while others are lacking. Well, that's my impression at least. I assumed I was going to enjoy this more after the first track, but it wasn't meant to be. There is some really forgettable stuff on here; the voice is good, though. The album is clearly not half as bad as some people make it seem in the reviews. My opinion, by the way.

Once again, I HATE HIP HOP. I gotta admit this has a few elements that I like; it sounds more interesting than older hip hop. I know that some of these songs were massive hits and trends, and maybe that influences me a bit. This album is good, though. I think it's the first time I've said this about an album pertaining to this genre. It's not as monotonous. I can distinguish between songs. There isn't much more I can say. I don't love it; I don't hate it. It's fine for what it is.

So I tried doing this whole project back in 2023, but I couldn't stick to it. Now I'm giving it another chance. I'm saying all this because on my first project I gave this album a 1. Somehow now, on my second listen, I like it more for some reason. It's not anything incredible; don't get me wrong. I like 'I'm Your Man' and 'Everybody Knows.' The rest is eh, alright. No song on this album is giving that much.

I'm not saying you should throw in everything you can and hope for the best, but these songs seem a bit bare. There is nothing much to them. They're not leaving any kind of impression on me. I don't love them, and I don't hate them (like last time). I don't have a problem with the whole 'talking instead of singing' thing; I think it works pretty well on the two songs I like; it just gets bland over time. Those feminine backing vocals are really improving this a bit.

Serbian artist? Ok now this is the closest I'll get to having some Romanian representation on this list. I'll take it honestly. If u ask me I'd say "1001 albums you should listen to before you die" shouldn't mean "1001 highest critically acclaimed albums for pretentious fucks". In my opinion this project should have explored the world's music. Like, maybe music from Latvia or Bahrain or Ghana is banging and I'll never have any idea. This is just a rant unrelated to today's album.

Now, the actual album. In my country there's no such thing as a "wine bar", but based on how many people say this is wine bar music I don't have any desire to go to such a bar. This music is so inoffensive it's outright boring. I can't imagine a context outside of background music just so you fill the silence while studying or painting or something. Personally, I'm never gonna listen to this again, not for me at all. It has some groove here and there, but it's not captivating my attention at all. At least it's not a threat to my ears, so I'll give it that. Not as bad as other 1 stars I gave. Just boring. I can't sit through it all.

I think the people that hate this album think this is the heaviest shit in the world. Yeah there is screaming. Have you ever listened to grindcore? There's way noisier and more incoherent stuff out there than this.

I'm not going to sit here and insult those people. Music taste is subjective. You don't have to like it, though that idea could be conveyed in a nicer way. I usually try to find good stuff to say about each album on here. Sometimes that's pretty impossible, but I'm still trying nonetheless.

With all of this being said, not liking this album is one thing, but saying it doesn't deserve to BE on this list is honestly insulting. There are a lot of albums on here that I don't enjoy, BUT I can still understand their impact and acknowledge their worth. This album definitely contributed to the genre and shaped a group of people. FOR FUCK'S SAKE IT WENT 12 TIMES PLATINUM. Don't like it for all I care, but don't say it's not worthy of its place on a list like this.

To end all of this *insert white monster edit with crawling as the background song here*

I'm never gonna get into hip hop as much as I try. No matter how good the message is, I just can't do it. I honestly can't give a reasoning for my rating. It's the same for every hip hop album I get.

I have never heard of this dude before. I think I've heard 'Gotta Get Up' in some ad and that's about it? I have no idea if I am too young to have heard of him or too Romanian. Nonetheless, it seems it wasn't such a great loss not having heard any of this earlier on. It's fine. It sounds like music, just not music that I enjoy. It's not my thing in the slightest and I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I do like it.

'Without You' is by far the best song on this album. Also, 'Coconut' gets too much hate; it's fun compared to other songs on the album. I much prefer that type of song. 'Down' was also a fine track, but everything is just too boring for me. It's folk; what more can I say? I'm trying to be as expressive as I can so when I reread a review trying to remember my opinion on an album, I know exactly how I felt about it and WHY I felt that way. In this case, though, I can't elaborate any more than 'it's folk.' Future me will get it.

Well The Dude sure is onto something. A true voice of this generation. It's worse than Hotel California that's for sure. Not a 1 star album though. I have heard wayyyy worse stuff and I'm like barely 100 albums in. It just suffers from being boring and forgettable. The songs aren't outright bad, but as an album it feels a bit like torture. It doesn't help that i absolutely despise folk and country and any inbetweens. There's nothing really that makes this album interesting to me. I don't find the need to listen to any of the songs ever again, but it's not like I hated every single second of this. It's just not for me. I'll never get this type of music, maybe if I were American I would'he appreciated it way more, but in the words of K*nye W*st "I guess we'll never know".

Man, I really don't like hip hop. Like straight up hip hop, no other elements to it. It's a bit different from the old-school style though, that much is noticeable, even to my untrained ear.

I thought I was gonna enjoy this more honestly. It's a bit too samey. Nothing really stands out in particular. The songs are mainly good on their own (some are a bit dragged out if you ask me), but as an album, I feel like it bores me too quickly. It fails at keeping me engaged for some reason. So Hard is my favourite song from this, exactly for the fact that it's a bit different in instrumental. This is clearly not for me, but I won't blame anyone for liking it. Again, good individual songs, but when smashed together in an album it's not doing it anymore for me.

So rare to hear a female voice on this list. Also a rare occasion to get an album that I already know (almost in its entirety). It starts at 5 stars, but for some reason along the way 4 stars feel more fitting. I love her voice, but the instrumentals kinda sound the same in a few places. I think that's what's making me feel it doesn't deserve 5 stars. Great album, though not perfect. I prefer Tinderbox honestly.

It feels kinda weird for this album to have been made in 2008 honestly. Just try and compare it to the mainstream of the time. Maybe that's why it was critically acclaimed and therefore is on this list? Either way it doesn't matter since I'm not judging that, but how much I enjoy the album. It's yet another case of I don't love it, I don't hate it like the majority of this list. It's just there. It exists. I can see why it'd have fans, I can see why it'd have haters. It's not music I would actively seek out. I can kinda see why people say it reminds them of Cocteau Twins, though I disagree with that take. This album lacks that dreaminess. It's not pulling me in. It's fine as background music or, as stated by other reviewer, instagram story music.

I liked it at first, but as it went on, I forgot I even had it on. It's fine; it is nothing extraordinary. It is boring in some places. I don't even have much to say because it didn't leave that much of an impression. It's just so inoffensive that I can't say much about it. There is nothing much going on, honestly.

Most overrated album of all time? I wouldn't say that, but maybe it is somewhere in the top 10, I cannot lie. I can't really stand the songs that focus on Lindsey. I mean, they are fine, but that's the extent: fine. His voice is alright, and the style is too folkish for my liking. The songs that feature Stevie in the slightest, though? That's another story. For the longest time, I thought she was the sole vocalist of this band; I'd rarely heard songs that strictly or mostly featured the guy.

Yeah, the drama surrounding these guys is way better than the album. I fuckin' love it. Nothing will ever top it in any way, shape, or form. God, I wish I was there to witness it firsthand. Like, for real now, the songs are so bleak. I love, love 'Dreams' and 'The Chain.' The other songs are all good but not outstanding. 'Go Your Own Way' is great, though. Can't forget 'Oh Daddy', it's so underrated. McVie is simply the goat. The melody is different from the whole album: darker, more powerful, I love it. I think I hate 'Songbird' the most. Also I'm pained that 'Silver Springs' is only featured on the deluxe version. That's my all-time favorite. Well, that and 'Rhiannon,' but that's on another album. Yeah, call me basic cuz I like the popular songs; they're popular for a reason. I always try to get into Fleetwood Mac but never do, and I always keep on forgetting why that is. Well, this time I'll have it written down. Those most popular songs are the ones that are more 'radio-friendly,' so to say. More commercial. The rest have too many folk-ish elements (or soft rock I'm no expert) in them for me to like them. Do I think this album deserves the top spot for highest-rated albums on this list? No. Does my opinion matter? Also no. It's a good album; it's just not THAT good by any means.

DAMN, THIS ALBUM IS OLD. I'm just now realizing this. My mom was 3 days old when this was released.

Too long for me. I agree; it's fun, it's new, and it's refreshing for this shit list. Even though it's not my jam, today I heard something that I wouldn't have been able to find on my own. THIS IS WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THIS LIST SHOULD HAVE BEEN. I know about the story behind the album and I get that it's really important, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna enjoy my time listening to this. It's too much of the same thing. I'm actually really sorry for my rating, but it has to be done.
