Liked this when it was weirder. The boogie-woogie rock parts reminded me of bad Aladdin Sane numbers.
Amazing production though! 3.5 but will round up.

SlipknotSlipknot

Rated 6/10

As with the previous Slipknot album I got, individually I don’t mind these songs, they’re decent, but it all blends into one thrashy experience in an album which imo isn’t ideal.
Some bits reminded me of SOAD but those guys keep it much more interesting and varied as opposed to this

Very sweet album. Nostalgic for any 00's kid, lovely lyrics, lyrical instrumentation, some all time classic bangers as well. Maybe 2 or 3 songs are just sort of ok. But this defo was a deserved Mercury Prize win.

Even though it’s not my personal favourite, is this objectively the best album of all time? Perfect flow, amazing production. All round groovy. Good album for the background of a party too.
Lyrics occasionally too on the nose? Maybe. But its messaging is sweetened by the amazing music and soulful voice of Marvin. A classic!

This is as toothless as your great nan. I didn’t hate it but kept waiting for it to win me over which it never did sadly.

Rated 8/10

Some of the best of all time on this. And some duds. So just like a Beatles album! The boogie-woogie rock and roll songs are by far the worst part of John Lennon’s oeuvre. But the piano ballads are some of the best!
