Really pretty and sad, worth a listen for sure

Kind of bog standard really, but not terrible at all
Rated 6/10
Bit of a mixed bag for me - I liked a lot more of the stuff in the second half
Rated 4/10
Really doesn't do anything for me
Rated 6/10
It's very angular and cool, almost out of time even now
Listened twice, can see it growing and growing!
Rated 6/10
Really cool tbf
Rated 6/10
Cool 50s pop
Love the earlier Dolly record we got but this one didn't do much for me, rip to someone who seemed like a legitimately wonderful person as well as a great musician
Rated 8/10
This is really sick, they basically play about with genre all over the b-side and it's really fun to listen to. Shame they only released the two records
Rated 8/10
This was much punkier than I expected from my knowledge of the band (2000 miles), The a-side has some cool punk stuff (Phone Call is a great track in particular) and the b-side is solid too as a pop rock record
Rated 8/10
Beautiful quiet folk record, sad in places but it feels very mysterious in a way like the musician is holding a lot back. Really enjoyed it
Rated 6/10
Super funky, fell off a bit on the b-side but solid listen
Rated 6/10
I liked a few tracks here but wasn't as big on this - it has something to it and it didn't particularly overstay its welcome but I wasn't as big a fan as I hoped
Rated 6/10
I like LCD Soundsystem a lot, but this one only gets good right at the end. 3* basically for Call the Police and American Dream
Rated 6/10
Very solid record, there's a couple of duds but I do love the new wave records where they're doing all sorts, the band kills all the different styles they try out
Rated 8/10
Amy was a unique voice in pop music, this is a great album front to back and has some huge hit tracks on it well worth its place on the list
Rated 6/10
It's pretty decent MOR, some of the tracks are more compelling - the acoustic blues stuff isn't great - but there were some really solid pop tracks on the back half
Rated 4/10
This is ok, fun experiments from Sir Paul but nothing special imo
Rated 8/10
This is awesome

I really adored this record, it's stylistically quite cohesive but very easy to listen to all the way through. Really feels like orchestral 60s pop in places, which I didn't expect. It has an undercurrent of sadness with the vocals and lyrics, that really works with the musical direction it goes in. I think it would be an easy 4* but is elevated by:
1. Everything Means Nothing to Me - track that picks up in the second half with gorgeous strings and vocals.
2. Better be Quiet Now - folky track with exceptional vocals and writing
3. Can't Make a Sound - another track that has a huge shift in the second half with incredible instrumentation, reminds me of Illinois in a way
I think with those three 10/10 tracks especially going into the second half the replayability is really high and I'll happily invest in a 5* as I reckon I'll be playing it again and again
