Such a hard album to rate. Because it could've been a really good to great album. Seriously, there's at least one 5 star album on here. Catchy songs in tons of different styles, all about one topic, and with a good use of guests vocalists. Lots of good stuff here.

But for the love of god, learn to edit. A single album, less than an hour, would've been perfect. There are that many good songs. But there is also way too many songs that aren't good and the entire experience becomes tedious. It's pure self-indulgence to think that you have enough to say to fill out a triple album (and each one of those 3 discs are long.)

3 stars. Average out the good and the bad.

Perfectly fine ambient music. Something I could probably program to. But not something I'd choose to listen to, at least not most days.

I really enjoyed this album. It's sort of crazy and off the wall, with tons of different sounds and styles. And the one singer's voice can take a while to get used to. But I really loved listening to it and listened to it twice back to back.

It's a good to great pop record with some smash hits. And with two daughters who are both Taylor Swift fans, there could be a whole lot worse to be subjected to.

It's ... fine? Yeah, it's fine. Nothing here groundbreaking, nothing here that annoyed me, either. Sort of sounds like that dude from Train, and maybe a bit like Bob Dylan's son.

I enjoyed listening to most of this, though there were one or two songs that the vocals made me cringe a little. But I can ignore that since the rest of the album is so strong. The Weight is one that's just fun to listen to and sing along with.

Totally fine album. I can't tell if I love or hated the last song, because it's too long, but it is good. But there's not much here that wasn't done by other bands better ( which is what I thought about Forever Changes by Love that I listened to earlier.)

I didn't know what to expect going into this one. Was pleasantly surprised. It was good, and I'll listen to it again.

Wanted to skip almost every song on this album. Maybe if you had the context for the music along with the film itself, it'd be better. But it's a style of music I'm not inclined to like to start and trying to listen to it with no context just was a miserable experience.

Hendrix is great, and he is great on this album. This is another example of an album that would've been a perfect with a little editing. A couple of great songs here, but a few that aren't so good. Overall it's very very solid, but doesn't quite hit the overall greatness of Are You Experienced

I enjoyed listening to this. It's more fun 60s pop from The Kinks which isn't a bad thing. I'll listen to this again.

Black MetalVenom

Rated 4/10

I was fairly bored listening to this. The lyrics are completely asinine. Devil Devil whooo Satan. Maybe it was super edgy in 1982, but today it sounds like something SNL would parody.

This album is rated entirely too low on this site. Is it sappy? Sure. But James Taylor can sing, his songs are fun to listen to, and easy to sing along with.

I probably should knock it down a star because I really hated the Oh Susannah on here (doesn't fit the album for me and sort of puts the brakes right in the middle of the thing) but I won't do it. When you want something very easy to listen to, with good acoustic guitar work, and some blues sensibilities, it's really hard to go wrong with this one.

I'm an unabashed fan of pop-punk. And I don't think you can be a pop-punk fan without at least appreciating that the Buzzcocks might have done it first. Good collection of fun and fast songs. And a lot more fun than the angry punk of the time (which I'm also a fan of!)
