pretty great debut album …if it was released 10 years earlier, but as this was released in the mid-60s it feels dated and more like something from the 50s for the most part
Admittedly Her voice is great but is overall the album is held back by being an album of covers.
Overall I am Not sure this album deserves to be here . And her success is related to the fact she is white , blonde and British - whitewashing the whitewashing
But She almost out shines Gene with here version of “24 hours” - that alone is worth the 3rd star

accessible jazz meets funk . Great Instrumental album but it doees miss the vocals .
Somehow the bridge between jazz,funk, disco and early hip hop or at least break beats/electro
