21Adele

Rated 4/10

I have no idea what people refer to when they praise the production of an album but I'm guessing is this. You can hear every little detail to perfection, every instrument is there without taking the spotlight and allowing Adele's voice and the chorus to be the main sound. Unfortunately those instruments don't play anything interesting for me and Adele's voice sounds like many others. She can sing for sure, she is trained but so what? She doesn't use her voice to do anything impressive and her lyrics are just common places.

This is the most boring album I've listened to so far but I suspect it wont be the last one. It sounds like pop rock and stops short before trying to make catchy melody.

Was there anything I could do was the only memorable song, but even that wasnt interesting enough to make me want to listen to it again.

I had a few Metallica albums in my teens, a couple of slayer albums too but I never cared much about Megadeth. Since then I still listen to a few metal bands but it's not my favorite genre. There are a few moments that are good but I really mean moments. The only song that I enjoy in full was Bad Omen, other songs feel repetitive and long.

There are three good songs in this album and the rest should just be B sides that only harcode Morrisey hugging fans could enjoy.

Wacky English humor when is used in comedy is great. When it's used in music usually is bad. These people believe they are funnier and more clever than they really are.

Once I bought a Spin magazine because it had a modest mouse interview. One of the articles was for some reason "25 musicians body parts" regarding Shane McGowan said something like "the soul of a XIX century poet and the teeth of a six months old baby" I was curious and I ordered a compilation album, I loved it, 5 stars for that album. This is great too but is too long. He was a great songwriter and the melodies have a real punk energy but for one hour it can really get tiring

When I saw the recommendation I though: oh I love this album, 5 stars for sure. Then I listened to it years after the first time and is just not as good as I remembered. Hussle, Bamboo Banga and Paper planes are the best moments. The rest makes it for a very interesting album with a yes, refreshing sound but songs that sound different aren't necessarily good songs.

Holocaust is probably one of the saddest songs ever written. By the opening track my hopes were really high but immediately after that it goes down and stays down. The fact that is 19 songs long and most of them very similar to each other doesn't help.

You can say a lot of things about nazis but they make good albums, at least this one. There is an excellent balance between rap and pop. I did not like the inclusion of straight up religious songs and the skit tracks, are they supposed to be funny? Not really sure. Last month I listened to His las album Bully and it sounded nothing like this, this has songs that you want to come back to.

I don't know enough of this genre to describe what is happening. Anything that doesn't seem to produce sound with, guitar, bass, drums or other real instrument I call it "electronic" I like the chemical brothers, Fatboy slim... And thats all that comes to my mind, I like the fat of the land but that sounds more like, rock, punk, industrial songs with a defined structure and lyrics. So I would say that maybe they needed to make this album to get to that point which I do enjoy, but this, this is too repetitive for me. There's a reason people had to take drugs before listening to this.

It's ok. The best moment is an organ solo in Smoking. Besides that, it sounds like a band that tries to be a softer Deep Purple or Van Halen but never finds it's way around. Always liked the cover.

Yes, it all sounds kind of the same and I still love the whole album. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because where is pump it up, where is Veronica? Where is the unforgettable melodies? Not every song has to be like that but I think great albums have to include several songs that you can't forget and the music here seems more like a second to Costello's Lyrics and his singing also seems to be missing a catchy melody.

I liked that is short. I'm sure it was interesting when it was released and experimental too but we would need to listen to the albums in chronological order to appreciate that. Judging just by what it is now, it's a cute, short, folky rock album. It's good, but this one doesn't need a second listening.

Sexy time music albums have no business lasting 73 minutes. They should last 10 minutes as God intended sexy time to last.

Viva HateMorrissey

Every time that I saw low reviews to an album it's because they were reviewing the people that listened to that album more than the music in the album, they were reviewing the listeners, not the music. In this case most people are reviewing Morrissey and yes, it's like as he grows old he grows weirder and weirder but this was a very good first step from the Smiths, not too far a away but not a copy and in the right direction, I can't sat the same for the albums to come after this. But the melodies are there, the sometimes clever lyrics are there and Morrissey if you don't like what he does as a singer or lyricist he apparently has always surrounded himself with very talented musicians.

More britpop. More than half of the pulling in this album is done by bittersweet symphony, if that song wasn't there this would be a very forgettable album.
