It's just a perfect album. I really have nothing more to say (that hasn't been said on my AOTY review). The instrumentation, vibe, lyrics, mood, pace, EVERYTHING is perfect.

I went into more depth on my AOTY review. I would write one here, but i have nothing more to say.

IT'S SO GOOD!

PLEASE IT'S AMAZING NOT A SINGLE SONG GOES UNDER 80 THAT WOULD MEAN ON AOTY IF THEY HAD THIS THAT IF THEY WERE ALBUMS EVERY TRACK WOULD BE A MUST HEAR!!!!

But on a more serious note every song is amazing on the album. Let's get it over with... SULTANS OF SWING PERFECT!!!! But it's not the best on the album... That is actually WILD WEST END OMG REDEFINES PERFECT!

I love In The Gallery and Down To The Waterline and everything else is great, then Setting Me Up is super groovy, Lions is absolutely amazing. Perfect album.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: NEED TO HEAR

Best song: Wild West End
Worst song: Six Blade Knife
Underrated: Lions

The most insanely underrated album ever.

This album has 5 masterpieces, and 4 really good songs. I don't believe this is a clone. No same structure on songs, not similar titles, songs that repeat everything on the previous.

...But if you want an album that actually does do all those things, go to In The Wake Of Poseidon from King Crimson, that album's a total ripoff from In The Court Of The Crimson King.

The opener is one of the greatest songs of all time, it's so nostalgic for me, for the first time (BC,NR!) i ever heard it.

News is amazing, Where Do You Think You're Going is perfect, Communiqué is just good, Lady Writer has a (hottake incoming) better solo than Sultans Of Swing.

Angel Of Mercy is also just good, Portobello Belle is amazing, Single-Handed Sailor is amazing, and Follow Me Home is really good.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: NEED TO HEAR

Best song: Once Upon A Time In The West
Worst song: Communiqué
Underrated: Single-Handed Sailor

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYEYESYESYESYESYESYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you do if i said

But still amazing.

Got rec'd by @RocknRollfan on AOTY

This is a very catchy album, and about half of the songs i'd already heard on classic rock radio, Photograph, Foolin', and especially Rock Of Ages. Rock! Rock! I can tell i heard somewhere, Stagefright too.

I just need to know, what am i going to Rock Rock In question. I don't want to Rock Rock.

Great album, would buy.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR

Best song: Rock Of Ages
Worst song: Comin' Under Fire
Underrated: Die Hard The Hunter

AWFUL.

This album scares me just at the thought of hearing a single song from this ever again.

There isn't a single good song on the album, the closest to one is Love You Till Tuesday, which is a good enough song, but the worst songs on this album give Love Beach and even Domer a run for their money.

This will now be the worst songs from the album list going from best to worst.

Join The Gang would just be a bad song, but what makes it an awful song is that it's 2 minutes long and the last 30 SECONDS are just gross noises.

Come And Buy My Toys physically made me cringe when hearing it considering that in only 5 years (THAT'S ALL WE GOT) he would record one of the greatest albums of all time.

She's Got Medals tells the weirdest story of all time and the whole song is just filled with weird elements, i just don't like it.

Please Mr. Gravedigger clearly shows that by the end of the album, David had just given up, considering the song LITERALLY HAS NO MUSIC AT ALL. The whole thing is just him monologuing about him killing a girl while "The Gravedigger" just complains in the background. It would be easily the worst on any normal album, but the reason it isn't is because on this album there is a little song called...

We Are Hungry Men. Where do i start?
The Lyrics? "Let's just kill everybody! Because... Why not! There's too many people!!!"
The Music? Whatever it is.
The Intro? Why is it a German TV broadcast? It's really annoying for a song.
Everything together? Sure lets go with that.
The lyrics, the music, and the intro & noises throughout the song all combined compiles into one of the worst songs to ever have the displeasure of being made by humans. Ever.
I hate being the same species to make this.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: NEVER HEAR

Best song: Love You Till Tuesday
Worst song: We Are Hungry Men
Underrated: N/A

Ziggy Live.

Why didn't he play Starman or Five Years? Literally his two best songs. At least he played RNR Suicide, his third best song, but there's some stuff that didn't need to be here. My Death and Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud were very strange choices, especially the latter.

It's a very good live album, but there are many live albums i would choose over it.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR

Best song: Rock 'N' Roll Suicide
Worst song: Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud
Underrated: The Width Of A Circle

But actually this album is super good. The opener has a great guitar solo, the last 2 are both great, and the middle is also there.

I'm not saying the middle is bad (definitely isn't), just it doesn't compare to anything at the beginning or end. But it still has some good stuff like After All and She Shook Me Cold.

But this album is actually a pretty good Bowie album, and one you should DEFINITELY HEAR

eugh

Few songs reach the level of awful as David Bowie's cover of Pink Floyd's amazing song See Emily Play. It is so awful it's top 25 worst ever. It's Johnny's Birthday, Bob Dylan's A Fool Such As I and his Can't Help Falling In Love covers are few songs that beat it.

I Can't Explain is awful in it's own way, but it gets a free pass because of the absolute atrocity that is See Emily Play.

Shapes Of Things has some very strange production and Friday On My Mind is bland and uninteresting, just like I Can't Explain, they get free passes.

The thing with See Emily Play is how good the original is. If they did a stupid throwaway song like Candy And A Currant Bun i wouldn't have cared, it mid. See Emily Play is a banger and my no longer boy David just flipped Pink Floyd off and said "I'll do it better!!! Just watch me now!"

it's bad.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DON'T HEAR

Best song: Rosalyn
Worst song: See Emily Play
Underrated: Anyway Anyhow Anywhere

Time flexes like a whore... Apparently.

I don't know i've never met Time, but apparently they're getting old. And so is this amazing album.

And speaking of amazing is Project Hail Mary! Watch!

And speaking of watch... Watch That Man watch Project Hail Mary!

And speaking of watching that man watch Project Hail Mary... Watch me sleep! I will kick you.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR

Best song: Drive-In Saturday
Worst song: Panic In Detroit
Underrated: The Jean Genie

What if i said this was better than Earthling...?

I bet no one will like that concept, and this album is in fact a very boring album, and Earthling is dance music, but the drum and bass style of music on Earthling is something i respect much more than i like it.

I think Earthling is Bowies most overrated work, and i was expecting Low to be overrated, but it actually wasn't.

Seven is amazing, like it actually carries the album so hard, would actually be in the 60's but that's just how good this song is and i'm still not giving it enough credit.

Overall, it's a fine album with one amazing song that carries the whole album on it's back.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: HEAR

Best song: Seven
Worst song: Brilliant Adventure
Underrated: The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell

This album is basic. In a good way.

Imagine if these pop metal lyrics were placed over King Crimson instrumentals, it would sound wrong, this album is pop rock and i love it.

Every person who comes to this album will immediately love the hits. It is impossible to reject Livin' On A Prayer or Wanted Dead Or Alive.

Many underrated songs on here, Let It Rock, I'd Die For You, & Raise Your Hands are all great heavy rockers.

Rec from RocknRollfan on AOTY.

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR

Best song: Livin' On A Prayer
Worst song: Social Disease
Underrated: Wild In The Streets

It's just not my thing.

I can easily tell how someone would like this. It's mixed insanely well, it all sounds good, it's just... Not my thing.

I can tell that this is a good album. I even think it's a good album. Just there are so many albums this year i would put above it. Angine De Poitrine, EPiC, Live At Carnagie Hall, even Honesty Doesn't Pay, all of these are better than this. Because those are great albums, sound comps are just not my thing.

Overall, i had a fine time with this album. I listened to it the way i thought would be best, listening to it as background music for playing Rayman Origins, and that probably saved it from being in the 60's. Enjoy it more than i do when you listen!

NEED TO HEAR RATING: HEAR

Best song: Prophecy At 1420 MHz

So... I think it's

...Good, but overrated. It sounds much different than Ants, which is more normal sounding art rock. While this is more like King Crimson in the Discipline to Perfect Pair era, very experimental and odd, in a good way, but yet again, overrated.

Experimental rock like this is not my style of music, but i can appreciate it for what it is, it's good, that's it.

The first half of the album drags it down, none of the songs come close to anything i've heard recently or Ants. But the second half, that's a whole different story.

Sunglasses beats out anything on Ants (except for TPWHITB). It's just so so so so so so so so good.
Track X is great, i think it's better than everything on the first half, but according to the scores no one thinks that.
Opus is great, but i don't think it's better that Sunglasses or X, it sounds like a better version of the really experimental almost spoken songs on the first half.

But overall, it's a good album at the least. At it's best, it's a near perfect album, but that's only one song (Sunglasses).

NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR

Best song: Sunglasses
Worst song: Science Fair
Underrated: Track X

It's quite good, but WHY IS RINGO JUST SITTIN DOWN THERE

Side A

It Won't Be Long is actually really good, the notes in that song are great and one of the best early Beatles songs.

All I've Got To Do is good but is one of the weaker ones on the album, considering how good the first side is.

All My Loving is just classic. Not much to say, just it's amazing and one of the best on the album.

Don't Bother Me is good, but it's one of the worst on the first side, but it's good. Not great though.

:/

Till There Was You is great, very underrated, love it, yeah. Instrumentals very good on the song.

"OH YEAH WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
WAIT MR PO-O-OSTMAN ✉️
WAIT (WAIT) WAIT (WAIT) PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
DELIVER THE LETTER ✉️ THE SOONER THE BETTER 🕜"
i've said all i need to say here.

Side B

Roll Over Beethoven is an amazing cover. I don't like Chuck Berry or his version of the song, but i like The Beatles and i like their version of the song.

Hold Me Tight is good but basically basic Beatles song. It's fun, it's nice, and it's nothing else.

You Really Got A Hold On Me is the best song on this album easily. It slowly builds tension and builds and builds and then explodes and i'm the first person to describe this song like a 25 minute prog epic.

there is nothing to i wanna be your man

or devil in her heart

Not A Second Time is basically the same as Hold Me Tight. It's short, fun, nice, that's it.

and nothing to money
