I must be a soul-less individual because I do not understand what is so good about Nick Drake. Twice now I've had to sit through an album of his, and twice now I've been bored to death. I think the extra star here is because one of these songs was in 'The Royal Tenenbaums', and everything that movie touched was pure gold.

This album is proof that Marvin Gaye could sing anything and make it sound decent. I mean, it's seventy five minutes of terrible lyrics about getting divorced, and the dude sounds like a groovy 70s angel. I'm not saying it's that good; I'm just saying it's impressive what he could do with next to nothing.

This sounds like what MGMT were inspired by. It's an entire album of synthpop beauty, and despite the fact that I had never even heard of if before, I found so much to enjoy. Right away, the opening track, 'Cherry-coloured Funk', was breathtaking, and 'Iceblink Luck' has the same mystifying quality. The title song does live up to the expectations, and the disc never even loses its momentum, as 'Fotzepolitic' keeps up the good vibes. Be sure to not miss this one, even if you're having doubts like YesterMe.

Some great 80s nostalgia right here. There's a couple missteps, but it overall never loses its charm or my interest. The title track is, of course, the best, and the opener does a pretty good job in its own right.

Pretty interesting and different compared to other punk albums I've had to listen to. Usually they sound the same, but this one was like electric Leonard Cohen. Is it great? No, but anything named 'Horses' deserves some respect.

This sounds like a crappy version of whatever Shaun and Ed From Shaun of the Dead were spinning at 4 AM.

That being said I vote this is the first record we throw at the zombies during our inevitable future war with them.

Oh, Lord. Generic punk. It doesn't have the energy or the creativity of other punk albums, and there isn't a standout song of the bunch. There's a really good reason I had never heard of them or this album before.

So many amazing songs. SO MANY. "Synchrinicity II" is my personal favorite from The Police, so that was a total treat. Other favorites of mine include "Every Breath You Take"(one of the most iconic 80s songs, period) and "King of Pain", so hearing them all in a row on the same album was perfection. Where this album messes up is the rest of the stuff. Don't get me wrong, most of the songs are either just fine or decent. I enjoyed a couple of the deepest cuts. But there is one huge, glaring problem. And it's called "Mother". Never play that one for me ever again.
