Music is a 5 lyrics are a 1. Makes this great music almost unlistenable. It's so repetitive and dull

Paused this for 6 months because the post-punk albums became too much. Started back up and here we are. This is probably on the level of joy division of Ian Curtis was obsessed with blood and boredom.

For this style it's good. I actually got into some of the songs. Will I listen to this again? Probably not. But it's by far not the worst album from a terrible rock band from England in the late 70's

this guy is a NERD. its good but VERY self indulgent, which I guess makes sense that they would have yacht rock guys on here. good, but I feel like he needs to relax a little

I think I finally understand the hype of this band. after listening to all the garbage post-punk bands on here, this really does the best of the genre. It feels special. Probably won't listen to it much but It's definitely an album that needs to be on this list.

Great musicianship, Great to rock out to on a highway. I'm not an angry 14 year old though, so it all feels a bit goofy to me. I understand why this exists though. punk was shitty musicianship with an intellectual backing, so of course the pendulum had to swing the exact opposite way.

It's good but it feels like I'm listening to homework. Lyrics can't just be a part of the flow of music, but something that needs to be actively listened to to understand what is going on. While that creates depth it's an exhausting listen. Also I know this sound is groundbreaking sooooo many people have copied this style since it now feels tired? The 90's was wild y'all.

I never listened to this band because the people that listenrd to it where such assholes. Listening to it now it's tamer then I thought. Wall of sound not noise. It's ok. To long though

She has the intensity that a lot of the 70's singer songwriters lack, but I felt myself getting really bored as the album progressed. Needs a bit more kate bush whimsy for me.

I never really understood the who. Who are they for. They just always seemed to exist outside of culture. Great singles, but what the fuck was the tune song? Did we run out of material??

this guy is wild. I love his insanity. Not as good as the other one on the list, but I dig it.

How did the avante garde end up here in the late 70's? I mean I understand how, but it really fucked any sort of art music forever because of this garbage genre, because where do you go from here?

I get it. Not all southeners. and racists aren't just in the south. Do I really need a double album that tells me this? It's too long and too much. I think we protest too much.

Really good. I think it has a lot to do with song length. but I really enjoyed it. nothing really sticks out in my head, but the album left me in a pleasant mood.

Every musician in the 60's was just high as hell weren't they. Good album, and Alice Cooper was totally influenced by this. Feels a bit retro now but they were just throwing things against the wall to see what stuck.

I bought this album when it came out and I remember thinking to myself that I am buying this to laugh at it later. Clearly I didn't listen to it though because I barely remember any of these songs. I think somewhere in the middle of making this album he forgot he was a kitsch clown making a parody of the most kitsch musical and fully believed he was Marilyn Manson, and never came back. just completely full of himself. Which is too bad, because there is a whole lot of queer coded messages in this album and even more so on his next album. If he wasn't such a shit head this could have easily been rediscovered as camp. but he fucked that up
