I hate Leonard Cohen. What's the point of even trying, when you can never achieve something like this?

5 stars for Famous Blue Raincoat. 5 stars for Last Year's Man. 5 stars for Avalanche. The rest is 5-star icing on the cake.

In 2010 Vampire Weekend's Contra came out. Its not on the list. In fact, none of their albums are on the list. But this is

I can imagine this would work as a soundtrack to an indie movie. But on its own it doesn't offer much of anything.

Why would you choose to copy the worst parts of Bob Dylan (his voice) and leave out the best parts of Bob Dylan (his writing)?

It's not bad, but it's an original soundtrack so it has all of the standard original soundtrack baggage. I would have preferred an actual Indian album.

Ask me if I like Billy Joel and I'll answer "fuck no!" Make me listen to this album and ask me if I like it...."FUCK YEAH!"

Not as good as I remembered.

Sidenote: the sound quality on Apple Music was so bad it was unlistenable. Much, much better on YouTube Music!

This is a great album that I admit to being late to appreciate. At the time, the nu metal vibe was just not appealing to me even though I was heavily into both hard rap and punk. It finally grew on me. My only criticism now is about Shinoda's "rapping". Its just so laughably bad! But I appreciate everything else about him and how much he is responsible for building the band. And, of course, Chester's vocals are incomparable.

Did not listen, will not listen. I'm not going to do anything that generates revenue for him and helps perpetuate his culture war bullshit.

Rated 10/10

Paul Simon is one of the most underrated song writers of all time. Yes, I know that he is a highly regarded songwriter, but he's still underated. The proof is that this album doesn't have 5-star reviews across the board.

Let's also address some of the ridiculous reviews on this site.

Paul Simon: "Wow! This style of music [insert style] is so amazing yet underappreciated! More people all over the world should know about this! Maybe I can use my large platform to pay local musicians to help me share their style and introduce it to a larger audience."

Small local musicians of unique styles all over the world: "Wow, thank you Paul Simon for boosting our visibility and our careers. We appreciate playing with you and love what you have done for us."

Random basement dwelling 1001 album reviewers: "Paul Simon is an evil colonialist who culturally appropriates music and abuses the original artists. How dare he enjoy and promote different styles!"

These bitches probably hate David Attenborough for talking about animals that aren't found exclusively in his own backyard

Yet another circle jerk entry on this list. The album's only claim to fame is that it's on this list.
I saw 'garage Rock" and thought I might be into it. But it's just Lo-Fi, '60S psychedelic bullshit
