Electronic album, focused on sampling more so than oontz oontz. It made for great background music and would listen to it again.
Highlights: radio, extra kings

I was expecting screamo metal (judging a book by its cover I guess), got 90s electronic instead. I didn't hate it, but did not need to listen to it.

Never heard this album, she has a great voice and I appreciate her trying to branch away from being a teen idol. It has a lot of her signature "yelling," in a big band/old timey style context.
Highlights: ain't no other man, candyman

Rock is a weird characterization -- this had some fun western/american/jazz elements. The tail end was straight up jazz! I had to keep double checking I was still listening to the right album.
And when I die reminded me of Aaron Copland's Rodeo!
What a great find from a band I had never heard of before.

Highlights: and when I die

This is a band whose name I could never conjure up during bar trivia. The rest of the album is ok -- it seems like these guys are on here multiple times, and this is their one album that should probably be on here given come on eileen. Some brass, some fun beats. A solid 3*

Highlights: come on eileen (I legitimately really like this song, it's not just a highlight because I knew it)

It starts so ska-ish. I saw Devo for the first time ever last summer and they're still kicking ass as old dudes. Respect for being different but also making fun music.
Highlights: uncontrollable urge

This is the brimful of Asha band? I think I knew the Norman Cook version, which is much boppier and going into my highlights playlist. This album is catchy, and blending indian music with brit rock is at least something different from every others 90s british album on here.
I was digging the norwegian wood instrumentation until I went back to the Beatles original and realized they had already used sitar.
There's also a lot of filler; this could have used some editing.
Highlights: brimful of asha (norman cook version)

I'm not the most versed in rap/hip hop, but this was alright and easy to listen to. The beats/music tracks bump this up to a 4* for me.

TuskFleetwood Mac

Rated 8/10

I love rumors so much; this album is entirely new to me. Some nice tracks, but not top to bottom bangers. I want to give it a 3 based on comparing it to Rumors, but I'm giving it a 4 in comparison to other albums on here.
Highlights: storms, that's enough for me

YABA!!!
Yet Another British Album :(
More 90s british music -- but will THIS one be any different?
...
Ok, don't hate it as much upon listening to it. Kinda reminds me of the xx. Listenable (that's like saying food is edible), but not outstanding.

So much garbage music in this low-effort album that just dragged forever. Not a monday morning kind of album.
A lot of albums here get added based on the artist's resume and not an individual album's merit, which leads to a lot of crap.

Oh I 100% see the flogging molly comparison. I almost dismissed it based on band/cover, but what a grand irish time! My head was bopping. 5* for it being different and fresh.
