Surprisingly enjoyed this one. The incorporation of folk and rock made it better for sure. Points lost for Waylon only helping to write one song on this album.

3.5/5.0

The songs in the first half are fun and interesting, the performances are good, and the melodies are memorable. The 3 ambient songs in the second half were really interesting (Eno's influence is obvious here), totally unexpected, and ultimately enjoyable.

Started off pretty good, but his voice really drags this down as the album goes along. Also, yet another fairly boring artist with three albums on this list while super creative, interesting (and more popular) artists are left off.

The music on this is really good and interesting, but the 80s production on this is super annoying.

Each song could really be about 45 seconds long. They stop developing after that point. The drum sound is obnoxious. The interludes should've been cut. She does have a great voice.

This album begins with a 42 minute slog of a track that - oh wait, I just checked. It's only four minutes, it just feels 10 times longer than that. Now repeat that same experience for all 11 songs.

Points for at least being distinctive, but my main complaints are the basslines (literally the same note played over and over for every song) and the complete lack of vocal melody, which is an issue when there is so much apathy in the performance.

This was fine, but it dragged sooooooooo much. Points lost for doing nothing that hadn't been done a million times before.

Goofy like a bad musical. Hard to believe they wrote "I'm Not In Love", which is such a great song. Points for trying a lot of different things.

2.5/5.0: Mixed.

Incredible album from top to bottom. Lyrically, musically, and vocally, it hasn't been topped in its genre since and it's not even close really.

5.0/5.0: Iconic
