I like Amy Winehouse. Loads of personality. Great jazz/soul influence in the writing. With hindsight, it's a very sad album but it sounds great on a weekend morning.

Surprised me. I wasn't looking forward to listening to it but I lay on my sofa after a week of work and it sounded pretty damn good. Laid back, groovy and melancholy.

A strange one. Parts of it are psychedelic, swirling indietronica and very good indeed. Other parts are almost amateurish. Especially some of the singing. It could have been a really cool album with a bit longer in the oven maybe.

Proper hidden gem this one. Melodic throughout and played with gusto. The title track, Dixie Drug Store and America Snoring are all top notch songs.

It's all basically the same (excellent, fun) song. The first 4 or 5 are better than the ones in the middle and the last 2 absolutely bang. The influence of this album is almost off the scale and they look cool as fuck on the cover.

A floaty, groovy classic. Not the easiest listen, but it's worth the effort.

I like Dolly Parton. Her spirit and the way she lived her life with positivity and creativity set a great example to everyone. I love Islands in the Stream and Jolene. This country album is fine.

I quite like it as wallpaper, but I assume it's not intended to be listened to passively.

I really like this. There's not much from this era that still sounds good to my ears. The Strokes first album, a couple of White Stripes albums and definitely the first two Kings of Leon albums.
It's basically Creedence for the noughties, but I'm happy with that.

I liked it more than I thought I would. I can see why it sold a zillion copies. Tunes for days. It is very safe though.

Boogie woogie and shitty ballads. It's just the Rolling Stones with all the subtlety and danger removed.
The longer I listen, the less I care. Why make music so generic?

Very much not my thing. Too sentimental and schmaltzy. It's all very well performed though.
