I enjoyed this. It's significantly better than Slanted and Enchanted. This one's got actual tunes and chunkier production. It's all a little ironic and detached to be close to my heart, but it has its moments.

Not the obvious choice of Taylor Swift album for a list like this. I really like Folklore - I definitely know it better than this. This seemed a bit dull and boring. It might bear fruit with repeated listening but today, nothing sticks.

I really, really like it. It's ramshackle and melodic and sad and weird. I met Badly Drawn Boy after this was released. He was cool. It's a shame that he never got close to matching this.

Doesn't really grab me. I can hear that it's all sad and classy but it's not my bag. Nowhere near bad, I'm just not interested. Maybe it's too slow. Truelove's Gutter is a far superior Richard Hawley album.

It's either this or IV for best Zeppelin album. This has some incredible moments. The start of side 2 might be my favourite start to any side of any album ever. The first half of the album is pure all-time bangers. I used to think that the last 2 or 3 songs weren't as good as the rest, but I don't think that's the case anymore. Monumental album.

All good, clean fun. Coulda been a classic, but some of the slower songs are a bit underwhelming. I prefer the bloodier ones.

I give up. I can't get into Grateful Dead. I just don't get it.

Bedrock. They were so good from the first note.

Another lovely surprise. Some proper good songs on here. Great chord changes, decent attitude and a kind of happy/sad feeling to a lot of the music. I imagine this would sound great on a European car journey. The sun's shining and Christine is singing her bittersweet pop songs.
Rated 6/10
Very sparse. A specific, gloomy mood. I appreciate it and acknowledge it's influence and quality. I can't love it.
Incredible album. The music flows beautifully from one section to the next. Just when you think it's calming down, it's starts up again. At no point is this dull or uninteresting or uneventful. There's always something bubbling away or in your face. Astonishing, really.
The best aural wallpaper possible.

I can't handle vocals that try too hard. And this is basically a Michael Jackson album. Rock Your Body is a good song though.
Rated 10/10
Even better than I remembered. Not played it all the way through in years. The acoustic guitars sound groovy and dangerous. Some supreme classics on here (Sympathy For The Devil ffs).
Rated 10/10
Hits the spot every time. Zig Zag Wanderer is a personal anthem for me. Incredible, dirty, twisted, weird blues album.
Rated 8/10
Parts of this are sensational. Some of the rapping is top level. Not every song is as memorable as the best, but this is as good as UK hip hop gets.
I love a big, fat double album. Take me on a journey, musicians! This was particularly ambitious and mostly fun. As with a lot of doubles, it's not all great. There's some brilliant songs on here though. All of the singles were 90s classics. It definitely adds up to more than its parts by having so much variety.
Great Cover Art.
I like it. I don't love it. Bits of it are truly great - Sunday Morning, Venus in Furs, Waiting For My Man. It's a bit too ramshackle to get closer to my heart. The artwork is obviously incredible.

I had never heard of this. It's got spirit and humour.
Rated 6/10
Spirited, smart and slightly dated.
