Not quite sure what it is but I can't quite enjoy this one too much, maybe it's his voice. Still a decent album

Load of shit made even worse by the vocalist's fucking god awful voice. Quite possibly the worst I've ever heard.

I liked distorted guitars and bass, but noise rock has hardly ever done it for me for some reason.

I do feel like these rave albums get sold a bit short here. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm not going out to a rave to listen to this. How would you even go about doing that anyway?

Even if taking your headphones to a club was some sort of social norm, is this the album you'd choose? Some of the songs I wouldn't really say are suited enough for a rave, they are too slow, too quiet, and the vocals help suck out the energy.

So what exactly is the point to this album? It's too calm for a rave, but it's too repetitive and has too many disco/dance elements for standard listening. The music itself isn't necessarily terrible, but where, how, and when do I listen to it?

I am really not a fan of this sort of music in general, I find it annoying and it gets old fast because it all sounds the fucking same.

It gets even worse with this cunt singing. Not sure if I hate him or his voice more.

Some really good songs, like Sledgehammer, and some naff ones like This Is The Picture. Evens out to a 3

I feel like I should enjoy this one more than I do, and I'm not sure what it is that's turning me off it. I think it might be the overall sound of it, like the production or the guitar tone or something. Because the riffs and solos are good, and his vocals are fine. Maybe I'll grow into it, I don't know.

Crosby, Stills, and Nash were very good.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young are even better.

The slower songs were decent, but the more upbeat songs were gorgeous. Very pleasant album

Black MetalVenom

Could never really get into Venom, despite this being the stuff I like often.

For me, they're a bit like the Beatles. I appreciate what they've both done for music and how they've both been the inspiration for different bands and genres - as Venom essentially started black metal - but in terms of their music at face value I just am not a fan. In Venom's case, there were some riffs and a couple of solos I enjoyed, but very hit and miss. The vocals sucked balls too

Beautifully sombre album. Somehow even better than Either/Or in every element.

Something I found on his other album was that the slower, softer songs were phenomenal but the "faster" songs dropped off a bit in quality, whereas on this one his faster ones were even better than the slower ones, even though I enjoyed pretty much every song on here.

Favourites were Son Of Sam and Junk Bond Trader

Pretty inconsistent. Some tracks were great (Buick Mackane was particularly good) whilst others just annoyed me. Even his voice went from soothing to agitating. The guitar work was overall pretty good with some of the riffs too.

Comparing this to Dusty In Memphis, which coincidentally was the previous album I got, it doesn't really quite match it. It's clear her voice is phenomenal on her debut too, but it's more refined later in her career. Her music also benefitted from writing her own music rather than doing covers
