Favorite Song: 4+20

Honorable Mention(s): Almost Cut My Hair & Country Girl

Album Notes: Enjoyed this one quite a bit. I love the way the guys harmonize- almost hypnotizing at times. However, I noticed that I really prefered the songs where it was just one person, and not the whole group. Read it was the highest-selling album of each member's career, which I thought was interesting. It's fresh, breezy, and well done. Hard to dislike despite this not being my favorite genre.

Rated 8/10

Hmm, this one should be good. It is good, but not the folk-rock masterpiece many say it is. Harmonies only really appear towards the album's beginning, but they're strong when they do appear. The lyrics are pretty strong in places, but not quite Bob Dylan level. This album is not as good as Neil Young solo, but better than Stephen Stills solo.

Rated 7/10

I found this album extremely charming and relaxing on what was a difficult day. I love Neil Young's voice so much

Rated 8/10

I'm quite familiar with this album. It's solid, and definitely belongs on a list of albums one must hear.

The track "Helpless" is great, and this recording isn't even my favorite version of it.

Haven't we already had this one?

Rated 8/10

Mitt andra album av detta gänget och detta är ännu bättre än det första. Hade hört Our House förut, men jag uppskattade alla.

Rated 10/10

Que bien suena y qué fundacional es. Our House es una canción preciosa.

Rated 10/10

An exceptional artefact that ends the 60’s and introduces the 70’s, with extraordinary talent and personality in each song.

Rated 8/10

Really enjoyed the young songs, a lot of the rest of it sort of blended together a bit

May come give this another chance

This album is mostly soothing. I think each artists strengths shine through on this album.

Rated 8/10

My initial reaction on first listen was pretty negative, but I gave it a second shot because I liked the back half. Glad I did, quite enjoyable.

Rated 6/10

I’m sorry but how does this have a higher rating than all 85 hip hop albums here? Is it because it has Neil Young’s name on it? I think so. If 4 women made this album, it wouldn’t be here at all.

Rated 2/10

Our House is a very very fine song, but the rest is just bland mediocrity.

Rated 6/10

I was expecting to hate this. But I quite enjoyed the first half of track 1 because of the stacked vocals. Second half not so much. And then I settled into a pattern of thinking it was fine.

I liked the piano on Helpless. Woodstock was good too (again it was mostly the vocals I was enjoying). And it may be one of the most twee songs ever written, but I do like Our House. Still not the biggest Neil Young on lead vocals fan (something that's come up before on the generator) but the others' voices I enjoyed.

This is getting a 2.5, generously rounded up.

Way better with the Y

Rated 6/10

I've said this before and I'm probably gonna say it may more times in the future. Objectively a very musically skilled album that's soulful and well played! Subjectively, I'm not too enthusiastic about older folk rock in general, with the vocal harmonies giving it a dated 70's appeal. My faves were songs like "Carry On" and "Woodstock" that embraced the album's more energetic rock side.

Rated 6/10

First listen. It’s good.

Rated 4/10

Had like 2 songs worth relistening to. Can’t say the same for the rest. 5/10
