I know it’s inauthentic but I still enjoyed listening to this. Even After All reminded me of something Dave Matthews would do. Loses me a bit in the second half. Favorites were Sunday Shining, Even After All, and Your Love Gets Sweeter.

After how much I enjoyed Rings Around The World I was looking forward to another one by this group. This was disappointing. It just seemed like Blur but worse. Favorites were Something 4 The Weekend and If You Don’t Want Me To Destroy You.
Rated 10/10
I like this way more than 1984. Guitar absolutely shreds. The vocal performances are super memorable and the songs are catchy. Everything you would want from a hard rock album.
Rated 2/10
Maybe I was too harsh on Limp Bizkit. At least they were interesting the whole way through. This was far too long and I just felt like he ran out of ideas. He really put I Am The Bullgod on here twice and thought no one would notice.
Rated 8/10
Ghostface Killah is my favorite Wu-Tang Clan member. I love his voice and flow. Could listen to him rap the dictionary. This is a bit of strange inclusion over Supreme Clientele or Ironman. Great production on here from the likes of MF DOOM, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Just Blaze and more. Love some rhymes about cocaine. Biggest thing holding this album back is the length. Favorites are Shakey Dog, Kilo, The Champ, Crack Spot, Whip You With A Strap, Back Like That, Jellyfish, and Big Girl.
Something of a combination between Gil Scott-Heron and Public Enemy. Not quite as explosive as PE. Favorites were Television The Drug Of The Nation, Music And Politics, and California Uber Alles

This album was solid and was clearly very well made. Everything sounds really good here and it’s definitely well produced. I’m just not a huge fan of this type of music. This reminded me of SZA but not quite as enjoyable for me.Take Me Apart and LMK were definitely highlights.
Rated 10/10
I mean it’s great. It’s got the hits. I can’t listen to this without thinking of the Steezus Christ video. You know an album is good when the first six songs are songs you have heard on the radio dozens of times.
Rated 6/10
Really interesting and well worth the listen. I like how some of these songs develop and change throughout. Her voice can be haunting at times. Favorites were Hate My Way, Soul Soldier, and Delicate Cutters

The world’s introduction to the production skills of Kanye West. The beats here are immaculate. Kanye and Just Blaze cooked so hard. This is my favorite Jay-Z album. His bars are memorable and it just sounds like he’s having fun. The fact that we still debate the “I sell water to a well/whale” line shows the greatness.

Holy shit this is good. I’m pretty sure I listened to this and their follow up years ago and for some reason because I wanted to be contrarian came away with the opinion that Second Coming was better. I have been enlightened to the truth (Second Coming is still pretty good though). Was ready to give this a four because I’m not a fan of Fools Gold, but upon learning that it wasn’t on the original release I can give a 5 in good conscience. Oasis would not exist without this. Just banger after banger.
Rated 8/10
He writes lyrics that are very similar to Steely Dan, but backs them with marimba and two packs of cigarettes. This was a really great album. You don’t like an idea he’s working with? Well they are all two minutes long and he’ll be onto the next thing soon enough. Favorites were Underground, 16 Shells From A 30.6, In The Neighborhood, the title track, and Gin Soaked Boy.
Rated 6/10
So incredibly dated and boring, yet somehow endearing? The way Speedboat progresses to its really catchy refrain is pretty good. The instrumental for Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken? Is stupid yet fun. A true contradiction of a record. Did I like this? Am I going crazy?
Rated 10/10
This album is one that had so much hype around it built up throughout the years but I have never listened until now. Did it live up to hype? Probably not, but it was still pretty fantastic. Robert Smith sings like he always just got the wind knocked out of him. The whole album oozes atmosphere and emotion. The best Cure album I have listened to.
Rated 6/10
This album is huge in both sound and global acclaim. I don’t think I quite like it as much as War or Achtung Baby. Maybe just from hearing these songs too much. Favorites were Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, and Red Hill Mining Town.
Rated 6/10
Really great instrumentals here with blends of strings and darker ambient electronics. The long songs give time to develop. Not my favorite Bjork album but definitely still good. Favorites were Lionsong, Black Lake, and Atom Dance.
Rated 8/10
I had not heard any of these songs before, but then I wanted to play some songs I had heard before so I played the album again. This album was raw and emotional. Many of his vocals can be strained. This is the album for when it’s 3:00 and everyone has left the party. Empty cans, bottles, and cups are strewn around the room and the floor is slightly sticky. The Rolling Stones often make music that is drunk (rowdy), this is drunk (sad). Favorites were Tonight’s The Night and Pt II, Borrowed Tune, Albuquerque, and New Mama.
Rated 4/10
An Irish band making songs with lyrics about that time they took a trip to California. I think other bands were doing this style of Indie Pop better. ‘Til The Tide Creeps In is kinda funny with how it just kinda sounds like they were listening to Highway 61. Favorite song was Don’t Steal Our Sun.
Rated 8/10
How do you follow an album as extravagant as Dark Fantasy? You strip everything back and go full minimalism. The beats are hard hitting with great production from Daft Punk and Gesaffelstein. Also shoutout Rick Rubin because I cannot imagine what the three hour cut of this album would have been like. Not my favorite Kanye album but an important and influential part of his discography. Never been a fan of Send It Up. Favorites are On Sight, New Slaves, Hold My Liquor, Blood On The Leaves, and Bound 2.
Rated 10/10
A classic for a reason. Just great song after great song that all work to fit the theme of the album. This was my most listened album freshman year of college and listening again just brings me back to that time.
