Musically the album is moderately interesting, when it goes Tangerine Dream/Vangelis-ish. But my god, his Augustus Gloop-ass vocals are annoying. Track 1 is garbage. The rest are so-so.

Bit of an odd duck, but I thought it was good. I did listen twice and I think I was really starting to understand it the second time around.

The artist's name is vaguely familiar but I'm not recognizing anything else. So I'm basically going into this blind.
This is just weird. And I've been known to enjoy some weird music, but I don't think I enjoy this. One nice thing I can say about this: it really sounds ahead of its time. I'm glad I listened to this, but I don't think I need to hear it again.

I'm not entirely sure why this is here, but alright. It's an OK krautrock album that features a lot of electronic experimentation and very few vocals. It lacks the grooviness of Can, making it worse in comparison in my opinion. However, it's not completely terrible and is actually pretty interesting at points, so it gets points for not being another Britpop album.

I will admit it took several listenings before I connected with this one. Each track is lengthy and got some it seemed to me that it took a bit of time for him to get to the groove he was looking for. So I tended to like the ends of the songs on the earlier listen, and then have to go back to appreciate it more from the start once I kind of knew where he was heading.
The Can album on this list is one of my very favorite finds, so I had high hopes. This didn’t quite meet that level but the more I listen the more I enjoy this.

Another one that has broken me, time for another rest.
Rated 6/10
It's experimental and weird but not in a totally bad way. I can't say I loved it, but it was certainly interesting.

Holger Czukay’s solo record after leaving Can is some interesting shit. It goes on a little too long at times but the foundational concepts and at times funky fun are well worth a listen.3.5 stars

Favourite discovery I've made through this. Love it. Need to explore the Caniverse more

Is he him? The godfather of hip hop sampling? The samples add a “surround sound” type quality like we’re hearing the soundtrack to some diegetic music.
“Movies” is zany but it does meander with the longer songs. It’s been a while since I trained my music muscle to hear a 16 minute track (3-3.5).

Didn't do much for me, sorry Holger
Rated 8/10

Really liked this. Just the right amount of weird and a nice break from generic rock. 4/5.
Rated 6/10
Interesting for sure.
Didn't enjoy it as much as the CAN stuff, maybe he benefitted from that collaboration with the band.

Voor beide aspecten is dezelfde zin exemplarisch: Let's get cool in the pool.

Now we’re talking. This is what I want from this list. Never heard of it, weird, and right up my street.
I came back to this one and not sure how I arrived at this rating. not awful but certainly not good enough to listen again.

No idea how you even go from Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi and Future Days to this nonsense.

On some now defunct streaming service I had saved a playlist called "Sexy International Hotel Lounge" or something along those lines. A few of the generator albums I've encountered would have fit right in there. But it never really struck me as art created by people, just a kind of higher class muzak. As with those other albums I enjoyed this reasonable well but couldn't really interface with it as art.

When this started, I thought it sounded interesting, but it soon devolved into a bunch of unrelated sounds pieced together, which kinda did my head in. That may have been the effect that Holger was going for, but no something I'm really going to listen to again
