Gonna be honest, didn't really pay attention much while listening to this one, but what I did hear didn't wow me either. Decent and interesting punk music, but not really what I'm looking for.

The Good: It’s for ever!
The Bad: Sometimes things should have an end…
The Ugly: … or not b ours…

Aussie punk before punk was born… kinda.

Did I like it? Kinda.
Will I listen to it again? Dunna.
Can I tell you something special about this album? Na.

Well, whaddya know? We actually got some real punk on this list instead of the post-punk, pop-punk crap we’ve been wading through lately. You can definitely hear the parallels to The IStooges here, but The Saints are more melodic. They were one of the first punk bands and their sound helped birth the movement’s explosion in the mid-70s. They provided substantial influence on many big name descendants in this style, and you can hear future bands like the Ramones, the New York Dolls, Rancid, and the Libertines in these songs. It’s hard to believe this album is from 1978 because it still sounds alive and fresh today.

Never heard of this, but I agree with others it sounds super polished for a punk album, which I really like. Good musicality; these guys feel underrated. 3*

Eh. First track was interesting but it didn't really grab me after that.

If you look up "awesome" in a dictionary there's a picture of this album.

These guys are the band the Sex Pistols wanted to be - literally so, since The Saints had a record deal and the Pistols didn't.

This is purest punk. The sneering snarl of Chris Bailey's vocals; the power of Ed Kuepper's guitar riffing; the solid wall of the drum and bass driving everything on. It's like the fiercest of angry animals coming at you. And they add a horn section.

At the time that horn section caused some angst because "real punks don't use horns". The Saints, who WERE real punks (and Australian punks at that) just told them to stick their heads up a dead bear's bum and did it anyway.

This is real punk and if you've grown up with bands who claim to be punk rockers (looking at you Blink-182) then listen and learn.

Also, their first album - (I'm) Stranded -goes even harder.

Punk rock has been hit or miss on the generator, but this is definitely a hit. It's fun and is very punk rock on the nose. Also, it's good to see punk from an origin other than the US and the UK.

Cool, never heard of these guys so that's always appreciated. Sounds like a decent punk album, but nothing super smashing great, definitely not bad either, probably once again middle of the road for me.

Rated 10/10

I really loved Eternally Yours. It may be just your typical late 70s punk rock album but sometimes, that's all an album needs to be in order to be good. Though because of that, it's probably not gonna be an album where i will be saying too much about it, i just think that the music just speaks for itself. That music is very good, especially with all the guitar riffs sounding so sublime and while the vocals may sound bad in any other genre, they fit so well with the punk style here. I honestly really can't think of anything else to say here, neither good or bad so i'll just say that it's an absolutely sublime album that i loved the whole way through.
Best Song: No, Your Product
Worst Song: International Robots

Fun, if slightly unmemorable. A low three.

This rips! Great blues-fueled early punk.

As an Aussie I’m embarrassed to say I’d never heard of The Saints. To be fair I was only 2 yrs old when this album came out. I absolutely loved this album, it’s a funky/punky album.

Rated 6/10

It was a fun album for the most part. However, after 15 tracks, I'd had enough. I don't think I'll be listening to this album again anytime soon. 3/5

Rated 8/10

Pretty standard late 70s style punk (though Australian instead of English!)

But I like that style of music and I enjoyed this album.

Rated 2/10

Shitty hipster punk

Not heard this one before & enjoyed this one a lot. I can see myself listening again.
