Nick of Time

Bonnie Raitt is a wonderful musician, I adore her follow up to this album, Luck Of The Draw, which is a 4.5 to 5 star album on any given day, but this... I *know* it won the Grammy for Album of the Year, I *know* its preserved in the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" but... I just don't hear it....

Its fairly bland, nothing stood out, it was a passable time and I was never compelled to hit skip or stop, but I just don't hear what's so good about this.

A selection of country sounding music, track 1 was pretty nice.

Typisch jaren '80 geluid. En ik erger me daar niet eens aan. Een prestatie als je dat met jaren '80 klanken voor elkaar krijgt. Maar het komt ook wel omdat het een duidelijke vergeetbare 3 is.

Way too late 80s adult contemporary for me, although you can see what she's capable of underneath it all.

So smooth…late 80s anti-nostalgia kicking in, since this seemed to be playing everywhere…great album overall, but really my favorite genre/style

Me suena su nombre, pero no sabría decir ni una canción de ella. Ni fú, ni fá. Lo mismo supuso un hito para ella o para alguien, pero a mí me parece prescindible en esta lista.

Better when she's bluesy, less so when she's loungy.

I was expecting this to be quite irritating, but it’s actually pretty pleasant throughout. It is what it is.. it’s not something I’d ever listen to again, but it’s quite nice pop-country-blues. She’s got a nice voice and it’s easy listening.

Das Album “Nick Of Time” zeigt die solide Stimme der Interpretin im Country-Stil und bietet ein schlüssiges Gesamtwerk. Die Produktion und das Konzept verleihen dem Album einen klaren und professionellen Klang. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Titelsong “Nick Of Time”, der sich unsentimental mit dem Thema des Älterwerdens auseinandersetzt.
Trotz dieser Stärken bleibt das Album insgesamt eher unspektakulär. Einige Songs wie “Nobody’s Girl” und “Real Man” wirken vorhersehbar und fügen sich aber nahtlos in das übrige Repertoire der Künstlerin ein.

While Bonnie's vocals are undeniably fun to listen to, you start to get tired real quick of all the love songs she's belting out. I tried to give it a fair shake, but it's just not for me.

Old fashioned melodic country pop, from an artist I had heard of but not heard before starting this project. Pleasant enough, but absolutely no edge or emotion

ehhhhhh this is not really my cup of tea. its that country cheese pop blend that I don't really like.

This album was 2650 days ahead of its time. Meaning that this album sounds like the entire thing was produced in the Super Mario 64 Soundfont. I get this is here because it was popular, but to my modern ears it sounds like shit.
