Wouldn't sell it out again, but wouldn't change the station if it was on the radio.

Here is something you don't hear everyday. I enjoyed it, as it is different from many of the other records on this list. Apparently this is very important in the Brazilian music history, so it's cool. Very interesting musical choices. I don't really know what to say cause I am not used to this genre, but it was pretty good and enjoyable.

Rated 4/10

No really for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rated 6/10

I tend to like the international albums in this list. I enjoyed this but it fell a little flat. Felt like they decided to do a Beatles album but couldn’t pick which era.

Rated 8/10

Listened to this on the way to Majorca. Pretty confident it’s going to be my soundtrack to the holiday.

Is this a stonewall must-hear classic I’d insist everyone hears? Probably not.

Did I absolutely love it and know I’ll be back for more? Absolutely.

Goes to show how music is so influenced by personal context.

Rated 6/10

I can't really understand what's being said, and it felt a bit long to me, however it wasn't too bad.

After checking the genre and reading a few reviews, I was really interested in the album. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. What I heard from the album was okay. It didn't really blow me away. 3/5

Rated 10/10

Pretty fantastic. Never heard of this but it’s a bop all the way through

Rated 8/10

It’s a double album in a language I don’t understand, so it was a bit overwhelming in first listen. Love the first track, was em excited, but kind of got burnt out long before it was done. There are multiple genres covered in this album so it’s unlikely anybody will enjoy every track.
After the first run through I tried to just focus on each song and listen to a bit at a time and found alot to appreciate. I actually need to listen to it more! Very worthy addition to the list.

Rated 6/10

I'm a little surprised that this album isn't rated a bit higher. Personally, I think it's quite pleasant, if a bit bizzare at times. I would have thought that this is the sort of stuff that most would like.

Rated 8/10

great in places but expected to like it more, definitely overlong. a generous 4

Rated 4/10

Not my thing at all. Maybe if you like this style it's amazing, but to me it does nothing and no desire to listen to it again.

Rated 8/10

Like a mix of bossa-nova, folk, elements of prog and psychedelic. This really won me over by the end!

Rated 6/10

Interesting listen. Very lush instrumentals and relaxing vocals

MINAS GERAIS NO TOPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 6/10

Lovely and sort of genre bending. A tiny bit forced. Which is not what you want from your Brazilian music. Poppy in places and very much of its time. Makes me wish for more Latin music on he list.

Rated 8/10

Unlike most of the racket I like to listen to, I could put this on and my mom in her 70s would like it. It has a very nice & gentle sound, and some definite standout tunes among the bunch.

Rated 8/10

YUMMY first song! There's certain albums that feel like spring to me and this is one of them. It's packed full of springtime joy. I wish that this list had more music from other countries rather than just a majority of UK and US. I guess that's just the nature of the list and the person who made the list. Maybe I will be able to find one from someone who is not from the US or UK. It's just annoying that the album will be labeled "Other country" rather than Brasil. My favorite songs were probably "Tudo Que Voce Podia Ser", "Cais", "Saidas e Bandeiras N 1", and"Um Girassol Da Cor Do Seu Cabelo".

5/5. Easiest 5 on the list for me so far, this is one of the best folk albums of all time in my opinion. The name translates to “Corner Club” which is in reference to the fact that the collective who is responsible for this album began by playing on a street corner in Belo Horizonte. As for the two vocalists, the story goes that a 10 year old Lo Borges met Milton Nascimeto while walking to buy eggs for his mother, and over the next decade Milton would take Lo under his wing and teach him to play guitar. The album itself blends together folk, psychedelia, MBP, jazz and other influences together into a beautiful storm of music. This album is bursting at the seams with ideas and great small moments like the dramatic build of “Dos Cruces” or the beautiful guitar line of “Clube De Esquina No2.” This is one of those double albums that just flies by, an absolute joy to listen to. Also as a fun fact, the two children on the cover are not Lo Borges and Milton Nascimento. For a long time it was not known who they were, though I believe it was discovered who it was in the past 20 years or so.

Rated 10/10

This is brilliant. Loads of variety and inventiveness. Sunny, psychedelic... I will put it on again in the summer.

Fav track: Um Girassol...
