I'm really beginning to hate this list. What the hell was this? I don't know the metrics of what makes this a good album. It's definitely not good. It's not culturally relavent and there's better versions of this type of rap. Just terrible in every sense. I used to think 1000 albums is a lot of slots to fill there's going to be some that has a lapse of judgement but man. I'm beginning to think it's just a crappy list...

It IS fun, I'll give them that! There's a lot of misses though, and even at its best it fails to leave much of an impression, which is a shame when on paper this album should be right up my alley.
Standouts: Passive / Aggressive • Smoke 'Em • I Can't Get with That • Methadonia
Rated 3/10
Meh. Some fun, but not great.
Rated 4/10
Juvenile lyrics and boring backing music.
1.5, I need to be pretty pissed off to give only one star. I’m trying to decide if it annoys me enough to round down.

Back 30 or so years ago I heard this and it was quite catchy. It hit that 90s teenager sweet spot of a rock-y blues-y rap crossover, schmoove vibes and a hint of Quentin Tarantino bubbling underneath. Their follow up album would be leagues better, but this still hit for me.

I strongly suspect that this band have been labelled as one that you're not supposed to like if you're a 'proper' muso - in a similar vein to a band like Coldplay - and the reviews are being a bit over-zealous as a result.
I would have assumed ahead of time that this album would contain the big smash-hit single, and then a lot of uninspiring filler, but it's way more musical than I thought it would be. There's some great melodic guitar in here, some funk grooves, chill backdrops, harmonica, brass... I think it's really interesting musically.
I think this is really good. Forget the haters. And it IS fun.

Damn.
I got a rap/rock album from NERD yesterday and not only did I hate it, it made me weary of the rap/rock genre as a whole. Come Find Yourself made up for that in a major way.
An interesting blend of hip-hop, jazz, rock, ska - I found myself excited for what was next. The album was extremely well sequenced, alternating track styles to keep it entertaining (We Have All the Time in the World into Bear Hug being the most striking) and ending with the excellent closer Methadonia.
The biggest blemish on the album is the song Scooby Snacks, which totally breaks the vibe with tacky Pulp Fiction Snippets and a cheesy popraprock chorus.
All around an impressive listen. 4/5

Come Find Yourself is a really darn good hip-hop album. I always really love it when hip-hop albums combine their sound with other genres with this particular album combining it with funk rock music. I find that the elements from both genres were used very well. The hip-hop stuff was where the rapping was really fun which makes this band really earn their name and the lyrics and samples were pretty solid too. The funk rock was where the music was also incredibly fun to listen to as it could be so groovy and still fit each song to a T. I do feel that there are some songs here which are rather forgettable which does cause this album to get docked a star but all in all, this is a great album.
Best Song: Bombin' the L
Worst Song: I Can't Get with That

NOBODY MOVE THIS IS A ROBBERY
Rated 6/10
Better than expected but I am still not a hip-hop lover even though I am enjoying it more and more.
Rated 8/10
Actually a decent rap album with fun music and not too heavy on the rap aspect. Good rhythms without being overly vulgar or ridiculous. 4/5
Rated 4/10
This has aged not nearly as bad as it could have due to the chilled out funky vibes of the majority of the record. The more hyped up moments are a bit more cringe inducing for me because they are aiming to get me amped and at excited but instead make me feel like an uncool uncle at a kid’s birthday party. None of it’s particularly good, but it’s not in your face enough to offend too heavily. If you ignore the mediocre rapping there’s enough here to pass the time.

Luojan kiitos rapin ja rockin sekoittaminen jäi pääasiassa viime vuosituhannelle. 2/5

nije moj đir, al uopće nije loše!
Rated 4/10
Scooby snacks was fun in the mid 90s l, and a nice little blast of nostalgia. The rest is pretty forgettable, and I'm bemused why it's on the list.
Rated 4/10
The only thing I remember from this album was that I hated Scooby Snacks. That's still holds true, that song is utterly garbage. This album doesn't really fit in anywhere for me - it seems like they wanted to be like the Beastie Boys but wanted to be taken more seriously? I don't know, the album is just boring. It's still got the hip hop vocal style which I think is one of the main things I hate about rap in general. I don't see how this album was groundbreaking in any way, it was just more of the same for the time. Great guitar solo on I Can't Get With That, an extra star just for that. 2/5

Certainly of an era.

The Good: We are invited on a treasure hunt!
The Bad: What would happen if you can’t find yourself?
The Ugly: Worse, what happens when you do find yourself, and FLC show??? They are criminals after all…
I don’t like rap… I think I’ve been clear about this.
However, these Fun Lovin’ Criminals have done the impossible, and made me enjoy the album enough NOT to score them below 3*
The Scooby Snacks is just lovely. The overall blend of musical styles, as well as the lovely fact that we are hearing actual instruments being used, well; lovely.
So, though I will downgrade them, this is a 3 1/2* fo-sho!!!
Rated 4/10
Generic 90s hip hop album with some nice funky moments. 2*
Why is this here?

Not bad.
