Mmmm no sé. Siento que es de esos álbumes que hacen los blancos para gente blanca y le ponen género “latino”, lo que sea que esos signifique. No voy a negar que hubo algunas canciones que sí me gustaron, pero hay otras que sí están para escuchar en otro estado y no en tus cinco sentidos.

I liked this even though I couldn't understand most of it. Mostly a fun Latin album. 4/5

Something’s holding me back from giving this the full five stars, but it was a very enjoyable listen. Just missing a bit of magic.

Fetishising music for not being in English is just as droll as complaining about music not being in English. Language is not a proxy for quality.

Album itself is okay. It has a cool unique flavour but its pretty uneven and comes across a bit hit and miss.

Bongo bong is a tune tbf

Chill, interesting blend of elements.

Pleasant in parts. Repetitive throughout. Very chilled, slightly humorous. It's fine.

A French dude made this!! It's a whole stew of genre influences at play here, which he mixes into a mostly seamless, very uniquely laid-back listen. It's nothing short of mesmerizing!

I don't know this one at all but apparently it's like the soundtrack to shitty hostels all over the world? That's seems weird and oddly specific.
So the hostel thing totally fits. I feel like this is a good album if this kind of music is your jam. It's not really mine. I didn't mind it once through but was ready to move on before it was over. I don't think I'd come back to this or really explore anything else from him. It was a one and done for me. 2.75/5

Like how seamlessly the tracks ran together. Dislike the weird high pitched noise that appeared in almost every single track.

Album koji se nikad ne bih sjetila odslušati a bilo je predispozicija da mi se baš dopadne. I ispade zaista vrlo dobar, srećom uz nekoliko pjesama koje su mi skoro kao legendarna Bongo Bong/Je Ne T'aime Plus. Neironično, mislim da je ovo muzika koja bi se sviđala Che Guevari da je sad uz nas kad nam je najpotrebniji. Sviđaju mi se i prelazi između pjesama pravo.

Druga šansa: nije tehnički druga šansa jer stalno slušam. Zaslužio je brat peticu.

I first heard Manu Chao many years ago with the song Bongo Bong. I was very impressed. I listened to this fun song over and over again, forgot about it for a while, but now I've added it to my favourites list so that I can listen to it again and again with a big smile on my face. I didn't know the rest of the album yet. Although I'm not really into this genre, I enjoy this album so much that I'll gladly listen to it again. 5/5

Denne plata traff meg bedre enn jeg trodde den skulle. Har allerede måttet sette på "Bongo Bong" flere ganger etter gjennomhøring. Åpenbar banger.

Liker soundet godt, og jeg kunne godt hørt denne plata med henda bak hodet på divanen, men det blir fort litt ensformig. Flere av låtene høres litt ut som varianter av den samme komposisjonen. JEg trodde "La despedida" og "Mama Call" var da capo for "Bongo Bong", som jo er litt mye når de faktisk har den på fransk allerede.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but albums like this make me appreciate my high school Spanish teacher immensely. Even if I could only understand a quarter of what the lyrics were saying, it's all because of my former teacher. Every beautiful moment I had where I understood this wonderful language was because of her.

And the album was a banger. Great Latin beats.

Pleasant Album. Understated global hobo sound. Reminds me of Joe Strummer’s last albums, but more professional
