I took a couple weeks off. This is my second Bob Marley, and unfortunately, I may just not be a fan of reggae. It sounds very similar to the previous one I heard from his band, although the instrumental palette is a liiiittle wider. Other than that, nah. Not for me, unfortunately.

Second album by Bob Marley in this project. Not a big fan of reggae. But, in any case, this is indeed pretry good. Songs I enjoyed: "Lively up Yourself", "Natty Dread", or "Talkin' Blues" (good lyrics). I found some of the guitar licks particularly nice. I also like the theme and lyrics.
Rated 6/10
I can't really fault the quality of songwriting on here, which is consistently vibrant and impassioned, but reggae is considerably out of my wheelhouse and seldom a genre of music I'd ever actively listen to.
Rated 8/10
Great album. You could have this playing on repeat at a party and it would never get old. Just good vibes straight through.
Rated 6/10
I enjoy a fair bit of Reggae and I know Bob is the quintessential artist in the genre but he’s never been my favorite.

Feels like Ambient 1: Music for Airports but without stimulating thought
Rated 8/10
Bob Marley is one of those artists whose influence goes so far outside the limits of an LP that assessing the record is difficult. Giving this one a four because I already know it doesn’t move me as much as Exodus… but damn I’m glad the man and his music existed.

Fantastic vibe and production. Really liked the sound but also thought it dragged just a tad.
Rated 6/10
Prefer Exodus. 3/5.

Another reggae album! This one felt more expansive and just did more with the genre. This was also my first Bob Marley album so I'm super excited to have heard his popular songs with fresh ears (3.5-4)!

Tror jeg må gi reggae som sjanger en ny sjanse (UB40 telles ikke). Orgelet funker også veldig bra her
Rated 8/10
Very cool and enjoyable, especially the A-side. Liked the background singers and the occasional wahwah guitar.
Minus one star because musically there wasn't much new on side B.
Rated 6/10
Very mixed, I like the sort of country sound I hear on songs like Rebel Music and songs like Revolution, it just gets to be a bit too eccentric for me in a bad way on some songs. Never cared for No Woman No Cry, to simple for me.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers is my third Bob Marley album on this challenge, and I’ve enjoyed all of them so far. It’s not usually my go-to genre, but it’s such an easy and enjoyable listen, with really powerful and meaningful songs throughout.
Like the previous albums, this is consistently strong. The opening two tracks are superb and set the tone straight away. The whole album is full of groove, a touch of blues, and lyrics that still feel relevant and impactful today.
Favourite tracks: No Woman, No Cry is a beautiful song. Natty Dread is also a standout
Least favourite tracks: Every track earns its place on the album
Album artwork: An iconic Bob Marley cover

This is my first time listening to this album start-to-finish though many of the individual tracks are familiar.
I'm not a huge fan of reggae in general, but this such a collection of classics that it's almost a greatest hits album, and as such it's hard not to like.
Rated 8/10
You already know what you're getting from this one before you've even hit play.
Rated 6/10
If you told me that this was the same time 10 times over, i would believe you.
Rated 8/10
A damn good album, even though reggae isn't usually my thing. All good songs. My only real complaint is the track order, Revolution should have been the closer.
Rated 8/10
You can almost begrudge all the commercial advantages Bob Marley had over other reggae acts. He was good looking, had catchy tunes with soulful lyrics and an English record label to push him. He was so successful it sometimes feel like the media and his fans have his light blocking out other reggae acts.
But his records are actually very good. So you can't really begrudge him.
